Description

Godzilla themed deck using Ikoria expansion utilizes most of the Ikoria Godzilla alter arts. This theme deck centers around the Sliver Queen. She shoots out slivers and they mutate into world dominating beasts, who can continue to mutate. Thematically slivers mutating into Godzilla and other creatures works for my enjoyment level. Seeing all these large creatures mutate over time(turns) and wreak havoc on opponents seems fun to me. Since I'm using all the alt art for Godzilla, there's not much else in synergy within the theme, there's a focus on ramping to ensure we can get our 5 colour commander out and to be able to pay the high costs of mutate. I like the idea of Oko 'mutating' opponent permanents into Elks which fits the theme.

Some Mutate Notes

Based on the rules, a mutated Mist-Syndicate Naga doing combat damage will copy itself (with any mutations) be careful of legendary top mutations as this will trigger the legendary rule. Brokkos, Apex of Forever + Mist-Syndicate Naga is a bad combination Mist-Syndicate Naga + Sea-Dasher Octopus is a better combination

Mutate is treated as an alternate casting cost of the creature. so with Vivien, Champion of the Wilds, we can mutate at instant speed. Imagine a measly sliver swinging in and in the process mutating into GODZILLA! good times.
