Mono red has always been my favorite deck. Right now there are powerful top end creatures and some decent low curve options along with solid removal.
Village Messenger
is a surprisingly good one drop that is great against slower decks.
Scourge Wolf
, A first strike 2/2 is never bad but with delirium online this card is great.
Hanweir Garrison is a problem for most decks and will be the target of removal by your opponent(s). If it gets left on board it just gets better and better. Late game merging with Hanweir Battlements just give you a better Garrison. This card has singlehandedly won me the most games.
Goldnight Castigator
is a aggressive 4 drop and the downsides almost never matter.
Mirrorwing Dragon
allows you to pump your whole team late game with just one combat trick. Casting an expidite with just a few creatures on board can be a standard legal Ancestral Recall or better.
Zada, Hedron Grinder is just a mini Mirrorwing.
Chandra, Flamecaller needs no explanation.
Removal consists of Collective Defiance and
Incendiary Flow
with Goblin Dark-Dwellers to recast.
Combat tricks are Borrowed Hostility which has multiple modes adding to its versatility, giving your whole team +3/+0 or first strike or both late game has ended many games for me. Rush of Adrenaline is a solid pump ability and the trample often matters.
Expedite
can give a creature haste to attack right away but the main reason for its inclusion is to copy the effect with
Mirrorwing Dragon
or Zada, Hedron Grinder and draw lots of cards.
No Magic Origins or Dragons of Tarkir included.
