Instant (1)

Enchantment (1)

Creature (1)

The deck is based around 2 win conditions.

  • token spamming with Krenko, Mob Boss and other spells to get a good defense up and then swing in for the win.

  • destroying the opponent with burns

The deck was built when i was just starting to play magic, and ive given it to friends to introduce them to modern and magic in general. its a basic deck that essentially pilots itself. theres no real major interactions like storm where you have to know the rules of magic and the cards to the letter. this deck is just an easy going deck, that ive somehow managed to keep cheap and highly competitive. so i would recommend it to anyone who wants an easy to run deck, or someone new to the game/format.

Maindeck:

  • use Krenko, Mob Boss to produce more tokens, and continue doing that to build a massive army that will be boosted by Goblin King and Goblin Chieftain. (this is even better if the opponent has mountains for mountainwalk to come into play).

  • using Reverberate to double up on instants and sorcery's like Krenko's Command, Goblin Grenade, and Wild Slash . and with Guttersnipe, it will completely annihilate by adding more damage.

  • Using Goblin Diplomats tap ability, allows you to force the opponent to make a stupid attack so they either tap out all their creatures so you may swing for the win, or make them swing so you can block with enough so that they have an empty field for you to swing all out with. (either way, same result) (Put more diplomats in since i took most out if you want to try this out)

  • with Purphoros, God of the Forge out and the constant token spamming, you can legit destroy them with spawns.

  • Legion Loyalist is a great card in general. and with its battalion ability, all your spam will be well spent. plus its only a little weaker version of Goblin Guide, which i personally do not get the hype for.

Sideboard:

  • Rise of the Hobgoblins is really handy for getting some extra goblins out if you have more mana than you need. so that way you can token spam some more. its mainly here for the mana ability for first strike though.

  • Mountain's is only here because i use to run 18 land. it worked fine for me, but sometimes there would be those moments that they clump together at the back end. so some extra lands are here for those emergency's where 19 isnt enough (which is unlikely, but just in case)

  • Quest for the Goblin Lord , was suggested so i put it in the sideboard. only issue is i took 1x Krenko, Mob Boss, so theres a lower chance of spamming tokens, but when you do get the chances, this is great to boost your goblins up a heap

  • Foundry Street Denizen is only in the sideboard due to the spam of tokens. with the spam this guy can get pretty broken fast. especially with first strike from some other things

  • Goblinslide , since there's a lot of non creature spells, it could be handy, but only if you have the mana, which is why its in the sideboard.

Cost:

So thats the basis of the deck. works very well. im trying to keep it cheap. so anything expensive i wont bother putting in a maybe board or in the deck. and no Goblin Guide suggestions. i dont see how that card is good, and i just plain dont like it because of its cost.

Thanks guys :)
