You might want to take a look at this article and see if it helps you at all.

For starters, avoid vanilla creatures and any creatures that aren't really worth what you have to pay for them (either because they don't have a good ability or aren't fitting with the rest of the deck).

Thanks. That and the help from SardonRayne was pretty insightful

Remove:

Bloodline Shaman too slow, and puts your non creatures into the graveyard :(

Bramblewood Paragon you don't have that many warriors, his ability is kind of weak

Gladecover Scout too small for edh

card:Nature's Spiral too small

probably can take out a few more of the less impressive elves as well to make room

Consider adding:

Nissa Revane should be obvious :)

Primal Surge with as few instant/sorceries as you have, this is a better Genesis Wave

Terastodon you need some big bombs for later in the game

Seedborn Muse gives you all your lands back to help flash out more creatures

Primeval Titan ramp ramp ramp

Vigor block your opponent's attack, then flash this out :]

Doubling Cube these next three are amazing for green, esp. when you get Omnath out

Extraplanar Lens

Mana Reflection

Slate of Ancestry would be a good replacement for card:Soul's Majesty

My Omnath, Locus of Mana EDH deck has a heavy elf theme, there may be some other stuff you like in there

If you are going to play elves, running a Priest of Titania is an auto-include.

July 19, 2012 10:08 p.m.

I agree, I think I had one ordered but for some reason the store I was ordering from ran out of stock. Yeah Priest wouid be a definite add if I could find one. Perhaps that guy with the playset of doubling seasons has one. Thanks for the suggestion!

nice deck, I'll give a plus to it. I would suggest dropping wellwisher. I also made a yeva deck look at the bottom of my profile page thingy.

Shall do. Do, any reason for dropping Wellwisher? She's great in multiplayer

Keeper of Progenitus I have found fun for Elf EDH.

July 31, 2012 8:06 p.m.

interesting. I've had this idea to make an elf EDH with Progenitus as the general. hmmm.

He's a mana doubler which is sweet but he is also group hug because he works for other people too so others are more likely to want to keep him alive.

true. and since the other elves get alot of hexproof in this deck at least, board wipes are less likely for awhile? lol I need Eldrazi Monument . Also, do you know of any elf token makers for this? I want to get my money's worth out of the doubling season

For your flying issues:

Gravity Well

Raking Canopy

Storm Front

Maybe you could find some use for these.

Llanowar Mentor and Presence of Gond could be great.

August 25, 2012 11:39 p.m.

@BatmanUriah: I think I might just be adding some or all of those at some point. I'll sub them in when I get them, thanks for the suggestions.

@Ohthenoises I almost put Llanowar Mentor in here but I don't really want to discard for elves. I do like Presence of Gond though, because usually I have an elf that isn't tapping for mana or to destroy something. Thanks for the advice!

I would run a Cavern of Souls in any theme deck.

September 7, 2012 10:25 p.m.

Cavern of Souls you say? Could be a good parallel to card:Gaea's Herald

September 8, 2012 10:38 a.m.

What do you all think of Umbral Mantle ?

I used to love elves back in the day. +1 cuz it just looks fun

November 19, 2013 8:28 a.m.

Thanks, it's indeed quite fun. Any suggestions?

Not from me, I'm not into the Commander scene, and not old school enough to know all the old cards, sry. I liked getting my @ss kicked by elves, but I never actually played AS them. I only remember cards like Llanowar Elves and the GW hybrid Gilt-leaf cards like Gilt-Leaf Seer and such.

November 23, 2013 9:12 a.m.

actually, that Gilt-Leaf Seer is like a mini Sensei's Divining Top . My only top has a permanent spot in Scion is RawrFaced!, but I'd love to find an analog with a nice elvish effect and flavor.

You've inadvertently given me a good idea, thanks!

November 23, 2013 5:13 p.m.

thewyzman says... #25

Ha, np. If you like the effect, and can't use the Top in the elf deck, use the Seer.

I just did a quick search on Gilt-leaf; There's always Gilt-Leaf Palace and Nath of the Gilt-Leaf if you wanted to splash black for anything.

What I mentioned earlier in G/W hybrids was Wilt-leaf (i.e., Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers , Wilt-Leaf Liege )
