So here's the low down. Your goal with this deck is to beat down your opponent with devotion to Gray Merchant of Asphodel (typical right?), not quite...

Personal Flare

For a touch of personal flare to this deck I run three copies of Abyssal Persecutor as well as a play-set of Rite of Consumption . This combo is a personal favorite of mine. you can more often than not swing in with Abyssal Persecutor for 6 damage and later drop Rite of Consumption for another devastating 6 damage.

Recursion

Relentless Dead is a great tool for this deck since he can not only be a handy early chump blocker but can recur our Grey Merchant. Liliana, Defiant Necromancer  's second ability also can recur our Merchant friend for extra damage.

He included Dash Hopes???

I know people hate on Dash Hopes because it gives your opponent a choice. However, I've always been intrigued by this card and it can be handy in some situations thus it is in the side board. I have built a deck around the "opponent choosing" concept that works alright simply because the cards with such effects have drastically reduced mana costs but with a deck full of such cards either choice your opponent makes is a bad choice, check it out here: A Riot in Your Brain
