The ultimate goal of this deck is to make you big by gaining lots of life, then making your creatures even bigger using +1/+1 counters and proliferating. Some life gain synergies are in here too, for good measure. I usually end up closing out the game using something like a beefed-up Aggressive Mammoth or a huge flier.

Life Gain Synergies

One of my favorites is Impassioned Orator + Angel of Vitality + Twinblade Paladin. This also works with Ajani, Inspiring Mentor/Ajani, the Greathearted and Twinblade Paladin. It's also just great when you play a lifegain land. Ahhhh, sweet lifegain...

My Favorite Hand

Plains, Forest, Island, Impassioned Orator, Pollenbright Druid, Angel of Vitality, Twinblade Paladin. (Or something similar.)

Jeez, this deck has been through a lot! I remember when it was just a little baby Selesnya deck made as an experiment. I tossed some random cards together, and thought, Welp, now that I've finished this, time to go work on my commander deck! And then...Something happened. All of a sudden I cared for it. So I bought a bunch of cards to spruce it up. I made so many upgrades. I have changed this deck so many times, yet it's always pulled through for the better. So a little toast to this deck, a thank-you for making me think about and broaden my knowledge of Magic.
