We have been trying to bring Mill back to standard for a while without any luck but since the new Set has started being leaked we now have hope! and that hope is Fraying Sanity

  1. Built around Fraying Sanity using multiple ways of milling cards into your opponent's graveyard.

  2. Turn 1 - Island - Minister of Inquiries

  3. Turn 2 - Aether hub - Baral, Chief of Compliance - Tap Minister of Inquiries (mill for 3)
  4. Turn 3 - Island - Fraying Sanity - Tap Minister of Inquiries (mill for 3) which becomes 6
  5. Turn 4 - Island - Compelling Argument and Startled Awake   - (Mill 13+5+3 = 21x2=42 (42+6+3 = 51 + (7 card starting hand + 4 = 62) WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

Currently Play testing this deck.

We found that the deck plays slower as you have to be proactive to aggro decks.

  1. Manic Scribe + Thing in the Ice   off a good defensive early game.
  2. Baral, Chief of Compliance - lowering the cost of our instant and sorcery spells allowing us to cast Engulf the Shore as soon as turn 3 which keeps Thing in the Ice   on the battle field.
  3. Glimmer of Genius Giving us card draw and Energy to power Minister of Inquiries
  4. Disallow - all around good card stopping spells or activated abilities

Ipnu Rivulet is looking good. giving us options to get some extra mill
