That is the ultimate power, to stare Death in the face and be unafraid. -Orson Scott Card

Welcome to Glory Seeker: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Cast Suicide Spells. The aim of the game is to leverage powerful yet dangerous spells like Chance for Glory and Glorious End to gain an advantage over our opponents. Yes, this resembles Seth's (SaffronOlive) Glorious Boros deck, minus the Platinum Angel package and plus the Nahiri, the Harbinger package.

VICTORY

Gideon of the Trials, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Gideon Jura: The Gideon special forces, along with keeping us alive with their abilities of stalling damage and keeping us alive, represent our most consistent way of vanquishing our foes: indestructible beaters.

Nahiri, the Harbinger: One of my personal favorite Planeswalkers, Nahiri is criminally underplayed for how good she is. Card filtering, removal and a "You get an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn" button is great, and perfect for such a grindy, all-in deck like this.

Needle Spires: Making a double-striking land indestructible can sometimes be enough to close out a game. Seriously, watch people try to Ghost Quarter it once you do; it's priceless!

NOT DEATH

Gideon of the Trials: Platinum Chad is our #1 way of not dying. His emblem means that we're free to gain as much glory as possible, as well as not dying to our opponents' gameplans.

Sundial of the Infinite: A weird card, but very useful. It can exile our delayed Glory triggers off the stack, effectively counter instant-speed removal for the Gideons and even keep Emrakul around after a Nahiri ultimate!

To answer before asked, no Platinum Angel and no Angel's Grace. I'm wary of Platinum Angel; it seems fine until you Madcap Experiment into it, they remove it and you straight-up die. Everyone is packing some sort of artifact hate for Robots decks. Angel's Grace as a one-off effect is just plain inconsistent. It regularly won't save you like it saves Ad Nauseam players.

UTILITIES

Card Advantage: Faithless Looting is one of the best draw spells in Modern, digging for the right tool and pitching unneeded cards. Wall of Omens both staves off early aggro and cantrips, warranting it as a 4-of.

The TRUE Card Advantage: Chance for Glory gives an extra turn, and Glorious End ends the turn, both for a measly 3 mana. They have so many uses! Shutting off your opponent, attacking for lethal, reactivating Planeswalkers, countering spells and abilities, protecting your board, etc, etc, etc. No wonder that WotC tacked on downsides.

Board Control: Path to Exile for big threats, Lightning Helix for small ones with some nice lifegain, Anger of the Gods hates on Dredge and other recursive threats (might warrant 2 what with Vengevine, Bloodghast and now Arclight Phoenix showing up), and Wrath of God as our end-all be-all answer to just about anything else the format can throw at us.

Honorable Mentions: Field of Ruin and Ghost Quarter.

SYNERGIES

Chance for Glory + Nahiri, the Harbinger /Glorious End + Nahiri, the Harbinger : If Nahiri's on 6 loyalty, Chance for Glory/Glorious End to speed up her ultimate.

Nahiri, the Harbinger + Sundial of the Infinite : End your turn in response to the delayed trigger and keep your Emrakul forever!

Sundial of the Infinite + Gideons: Protect your Gideons from a Path to Exile by ending the turn in response. Same goes for Needle Spires.

Chance for Glory + Gideons: Alternatively, make your Gideons permanently indestructible to keep them safe from Assassin's Trophy, Abrupt Decay, Dreadbore, Maelstrom Pulse, etc.

Chance for Glory + Needle Spires : Although 7 mana (effectively 8 if you want to attack that turn), you end up with an indestructible land that turns into a double-striker.

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn + Nahiri, the Harbinger /Emrakul, the Aeons Torn + Faithless Looting : Along with cheating out a hasty Emrakul, Nahiri and Faithless Looting can discard and reshuffle the Spaghetti Monster if you draw her.
