Quick change —Aug. 17, 2017

so i made some changes last night including the Contamination package that Abysswalker recommended. i also included loam as another good way to break parity with taxing effects, and i added darkblast as the recurring removal that glissa wants. Looking at you Executioner's Capsule.

Are you kidding me? These are AMAZING cards, and you are wasting them on a glissando commander deck.

JKRice I politely reject your premise. CEDH is awesome.

Its not the fact that its a commander deck, its that fact that Glissa is your commander. You could make an AMAZING deck with any other black green commander, but glissa is just bad. The rest of the deck is AMAZING

A few suggestions you may find useful:

Stalling with Contagion + Bitterblossom or Awakening Zone usually ends games or at least plants you firmly in the lead. Skullclamp is then an auto-include with these additions.

I see you have Forbidden Orchard with no Mindslaver? These two combo with Glissa for an infinite turn lock.

Executioner's Capsule seems unassuming but I've had VERY good experiences with it in past games.

Trading Post does everything we want. Provides bodies, draws cards, recurs artifacts. Great for keeping the stax engine going.

Inventors' Fair is very easy to turn on for the lifegain since we play so many artifacts and can tutor any of our stax goodies.

Guardian Beast might be of interest to you to protect your important artifacts from pesky spells.

You're welcome to take a look at my list if you need more ideas. Mine is less creature focused than yours but we have pretty similar game plans. Only Perfection is Acceptable

Good to see another Glissa player!

I like it! You also might also want to consider Spine of Ish Sah. That and Sculpting Steel plus an artifact sac outlet are gross.

Thank You for all your comments, i was busy in Syracuse, and i might have played some edh. :)

Abysswalker Contamination, Bitterblossom, Awakening Zone, and Skullclamp is something i could do, i just never thought about it. This does make Glissa really hard to cast afterwards, which she isn't always needed, but the value from her in the long game is a real thing. Mindslaver was in a earlier version of this deck, but at that time mt pod was not cedh and only being able to lock one person out of the game made it a two vs two where they focus one person, and creatures beats is a real threat for a slow deck like this. Thankfully getting to lock someone out of the game at this level means i won't get stomped on. So i might try it again. Executioner's Capsule was in this deck, but nonblack is a serious drawback. While no one in my regular pod personally plays black, i still won't put it back in my deck. So in all I'm still happy I'm not playing it. I have played guardian beast before, many times its a 4 cost do nothing creature, and a one mana do nothing creatures isnt good enough, so its meh really, at least in my experience. if you have had better luck with it, thats's good for you, still can't Executioner's Capsule it (lol). Now for the last two cards, trading post seems good, but also seems way to slow to reliably do something including that my commander already gets artifacts from the grave. So will i try it? maybe. Do i think it will be slow? yes. Inventors' Fair will be in the deck now lol

KnightxFury Spine of Ish Sah was in this deck and seven mana destroy something is meh at best, even with sculpting steel and kci thats 1 mana destroy something, which is powerful, but three cards or more better win me the game, and this doesn't unless i have unlimited mana.
