I started building a deck online for the Monster after its reveal but once I hit 500 dollars I realized that lands are expensive and so is Crucible. I don't have a lot of money, and luckily my playgroup is also pretty budget, so I am hoping to try my hand at this. Most expensive card is Life from the Loam, and I feel this deck is probably unplayable without it. Also Strip Mine is too good for this deck. Spellshapers let me discard lands for whatever their effect is and a draw when the Monster is out, so I packed a few of those. They are also cheap to buy. Other "expensive" cards (those over 2-3 bucks) are ones I already own, such as Wurmcoil Engine, Solemn Simulacrum, or Rune-Scarred Demon. If you have any suggestions please let me know, I'd like to play this commander in a budget environment and any suggestions help.
