Introduction

Ever since the original Ixalan i got excited about the enrage mechanic and all the dinosaurs that brought this mechanic with then. So naturally i ended up with a whole bulk of dinosaurs that I carried over to being a dinosaur EDH with Gishath, Sun's Avatar at it's helm.

Seven years have passed, Ixalan returned and with it Pantlaza, Sun-Favored came to existence inheriting Gishath's throne.

Discover Pantlaza's possibilities

I love different. Do something clever that woes the table, and Pantlaza secretly has this in his text. But before i continue let's first layout the directions Pantlaza can be build:

• Dinosaur tribal: The most obvious, Pantlaza encourages dinosaur tribal. And especially to be creature heavy, so the likes of Kinjalli's Caller and Garruk's Uprising make for a comfortable fit in this deck.
• Pantlaza blink: By playing enter the battlefield doublers (e.g. Molten Echoes, but not Panharmonicon as the Pantlaza trigger cannot happen more than once), ping effects (Impact Tremors) and blink spells (Felidar Guardian) we can repetitively blink Pantlaza and play around his "Do this only once each turn" clause.
• Exile: Discover plays from Exile and some cards like Delayed Blast Fireball/Passionate Archaeologist care about being playing from exile.

What else? Other strategies that i will not delve into could involve Birthing Pod/Pyre of Heroes and to sequence your deck's converted mana costs in a way to combo for a win. Or perhaps to use fight cards (Wayta, Trainer Prodigy) to encourage the enrage mechanic some more.
