Introduction

Ever since the original Ixalan i got excited about the enrage mechanic and all the dinosaurs that brought this mechanic with then. So naturally i ended up with a whole bulk of dinosaurs that I carried over to being a dinosaur EDH with Gishath, Sun's Avatar at it's helm.

Seven years have passed, Ixalan returned and with it Pantlaza, Sun-Favored came to existence inheriting Gishath's throne.

Discover Pantlaza's possibilities

I love different. Do something clever that woes the table, and Pantlaza secretly has this in his text. But before i continue let's first layout the directions Pantlaza can be build:

What else? Other strategies that i will not delve into could involve Birthing Pod/Pyre of Heroes and to sequence your deck's converted mana costs in a way to combo for a win. Or perhaps to use fight cards (Wayta, Trainer Prodigy) to encourage the enrage mechanic some more.

So far Gishath runs fairly smooth. People shat themselves when Gishath entered play. However, indestructible appears to be an issue and in one versus one I just barely came short every game. Than again, when a Ezuri, Claw of Progress pops a Hornet Queen from a hideout just after playing Doubling Season nothing will really stop him.

Anyway! Ravnica came with a new toy called Rhythm of the Wild. The creatures cannot be countered card I've been looking for! And it comes with the choice of haste or a +1 counter also, brilliant!

Speaking of Ravnica, Smothering Tithe is a nice test. Knowing how badly people care about Rhystic Study, this should ramp immensely.

Now Kinjalli's Caller is very efficient and straightforward in her job. Its no 0/1 dork that dies easily too. But with 19 possible candidates Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma just takes the edge over the caller. And so, she has been benched for Goreclaw.

I liked Radiant Destiny for the sake of it's tribal devotion. But Gishath demands more - double strike mostly! Now True Conviction might be a possible later inclusion, but it's presence is too obvious and cost a turn. Boros Charm on the other hand is very versatile and sudden, I like it!
