The core idea of the deck is to set an anti-creature lock with Lightmine Field and death pits of wrath, in a way that only indestructible creatures can attack.

To avoid the lock, the deck idea the different gideons to attack as indestructible soldiers. They also help to stall the mid game.

The early and mid game is controlled through removal and prison enchantments.
