This is my Ensoul Artifact aggro deck for the Frontier format.

I am (probably) completely biased saying this, but I think that a low-curve Ensoul aggro deck will be Tier 1 in frontier. It punishes greedy decks by being fast, has immense power in its cards (see Shrapnel Blast), and is resilient. The problem with Ensoul decks that go larger with four drops is that they are wasting valuable time in control and midrange matches, allowing Rhinos to keep coming down and Jaces to flip, where this faster, lower curve deck does not.

Primer under construction

-Some sort of Yidris-Colored graveyard deck (2-0)

-Jeskai Spirits (1-0)

-Dark Jeskai Dragons (2-0)

-The Mirror, but Dark Jeskai (2-1)

-Abzan Delirium (0-1) (Ishkanah, Grafwidow says no)

-Bant +1/+1 Counters (2-1) (Hardened Scales, Managorger Hydra, Hangarback Walker)

-Jeskai Token Control (1-2) (I may put in Barrage of Boulders or similar because of this. Ormendahl is another problem I need to take care of SB)

-Dark Bant Hardened Scales something or other (2-0)

-Jeskai Prowess (2-1)

-The Mirror, but U/R only (2-1)

-R/G Energy (2-0)

-Mardu Green (2-0) G2 had nothing but a Smuggler's Copter on board with a Shrapnel Blast in hand with opponent at 8 life and me at 1 life (Radiant Flames cleared my board and let them swing in with a 5/4 Tireless Tracker and a Rhino). I knew I had to topdeck a 1-drop creature, and alas, Inventor's Apprentice saves the day!

-5 Color Bring to Light control (2-1)

-Yet another U/R mirror (2-0)

-Abzan Warriors (2-0)

-Grixis Control (1-2) yeah mana screwwwwwwwww all day every day.

-Abzan Red that couldn't find black mana G2 and G3 (2-1)

-Jeskai Fliers (2-1) close match

-Abzan that scoops to Ensoul Artifact on a Citadel .dec (1-0) I even got kicked out of the game after the concession, lol. I'll count it.

-The mirror, but U/R (1-0)

-Jank is K (1-2), still scratching my head about how it happened

Total Record (Games): 34-14

Total Record (Matches): 17-4 (80.9%)

(Alphabetical Order, lands last)

Hey all! Just wanted to share how the Cockatrice Reddit League went this month, signed up for it after learning about it (will post link at bottom).

Anyways, I went 11-3 throughout the whole month (without having any byes), for a total of a 79% match win percentage, with a 66% game win percentage. Made a lot of changes to the deck in this time, and had some lucky wins for sure, but the deck is doing great. I also placed 1st overall for the entire month with about 12-13 players. Some of the decks I played against were very interesting, such as the Mono-B Eldrazi deck that has done quite well throughout the league.
