The thing I love most about this paper deck is having so many different zombie tokens on the field. Rather than collect multiple copies of a single zombie token (or just place a die on one token), I try to collect as many different one-off tokens from Wizards or from artists, and then I end up swinging with them all at once. Makes the horde feel truly lethal.

These guys are the main body of the deck, helping to produce zombies in more ways than one, and will serve as some strong beaters within your hordes of the undead. 4/5 times you want to sacrifice these creatures to Gisa, as you'll be wanting to spread your numbers wide. Keep in mind that you don't have to sacrifice your creatures immediately after they enter the battlefield, as you can first attack with them as a large body, and then sacrifice when an opponent tries to remove them. That, or just wait till an opponent's endstep as to ensure that your entire horde isn't caught in an opponent's inevitable boardwipe.

The very backbone of the deck, serving as either lords to strengthen your zombies, utility, or even the very end-goal for killing your opponents. You rarely ever want to sacrifice these guys to Gisa, though can of course do so within specific situations.

Safe Haven - V/H/S/2. 2013. Timo Tjahjanto and Gareth Evans.

Unless they're targeted for removal, or can easily be brought back from the graveyard, you never want to sacrifice these creatures. While the horde's main purpose is to overpower your opponents with their sheer numbers, you'll need to have them protect your vulnerable Planeswalkers, as well as yourself. Since none of these creatures are zombies, I always love the opportunity to bring them back from the dead, with either Grimoire of the Dead or Ever After .
Ghoulcaller Gisa Don't be like Geralf. Always making these large, fumbling skaabs. Be like Gissa. Always making tons and tons of ravenous, hungry zomboes.
