Playing Pox in EDH be like

This is the true +1/+1 counters commander. Ezuri, Claw of Progress shudders in his wake. Anafenza, the Foremost shakes with fear when one says his name. He is the embodiment of decay itself. He is Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest.

Introduction

This is my second on-paper EDH deck, and boy it's a blast to play. You will be needing lots of dice while playing to keep track of all the +1/+1 counters.

This list was originally The Gitrog Monster, then Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, and finally this. It started out as a jumble of cards I happened to have, and then evolved to become the well-oiled machine that it is today.

Budget

Yes, I have Living Death and an Overgrown Tomb. That's because I already had them, hahaha. This is supposed to be budget, but I already had some cards that would be not-so-budget but very good in this deck. As for the budget, it's going to be $110 at the moment.

How to Win

This deck mainly wins through beatdown after grinding down opponents' resources to a halt. Pathbreaker Ibex helps speed this up by pumping small creatures when Mazirek is nice and swollen. Beastmaster Ascension is another powerful wincon for beatdown.

• Living Death is a wincon in itself, there's a reason why the card is worth some money.

• Saccing swollen creatures to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord helps speed up the winning process.

• Resolving Pox or Death Cloud helps finish games quicker.

Pros/Cons

Pros:

• Can play against other stax decks due to having benefits from permanents being sacrificed

-Extremely powerful against aggro or creature-based decks

Cons:

• Decks with very few creatures

• Weak to board wipes
