I gave up on keeping it budget and bought BloodMoons to fill out my playset. It makes it better against the combo and control decks, but worse against red aggro.
To make room, I cut out the Acidic Slime as they redundant to Beast Within and LD. I also cut 2 Stormbreath Dragon as I find them being sided out a lot. At the same time I cut a Beast Within copy for a Primal Command to help me find answers or deal with a dredge player.
For the last card, I added a Cinder Glade as a 22 land (up from 21). The deck is mana hungry, and having Cinder Glade instead of a third Stomping Grounds gives me another out against Crumble to Dust and sometimes the 2 life saved means more than the possibility of coming in tapped. Because while the majority of the mana is green, the deck needs two red to win.
I keep alternating between Choke and Boil in the sideboard. Merfolk is a very bad matchup and they both have their benefits. But lately I've been using Boil in the hopes of catching a merfolk player mid-attack by taking away their islandwalk.
