Welcome to my Riku deck. The primer is very outdated at the moment since covid hit the world and my deck has changed a lot without the possibility of much playtesting.

The sideboard is cards I own, but that has been cut from the deck recently - it makes it easier for me to keep track of my cards.

Any thoughts, comments and upvotes for the deck are always appreciated and I will read through them all.

The basic idea of the deck {U} {R} {G}

First this deck is a budget deck, which will restrict the deck in some card choices. The idea for this deck started after I found Riku of Two Reflections and his two abilities made me very excited to start deckbuilding and I quickly snatched up a cheap copy of him.

My deck is a hyprid between making tokens of big creatures and spellslinging and copying spells for extra value. The main idea is to clone our opponents creatures or our own such as Giant Adephage and Hydra Omnivore. While creating big creature tokens through Rikus first ability or through some of our cards.

The game plan is to keep the board state in control and start building big creatures to kill our opponents through combat damage.

The game plan and cards interactions {U} {R} {G}

Our commander Riku of Two Reflections is a big classcanon, if we can keep him on the board he will amass huge amounts of value with his two abilities. For the sole purpose of keeping him on the board, we have cards like Whispersilk Cloak / Swiftfoot Boots / Simic Charm / Elgaud Shieldmate to keep him protected somewhat.

Since our deck relies so heavily on the late game, we want to keep the board in check our survive long enough to start outdamaging our opponents. For this we run cards like Wall of Blossoms / Wood Elves - Nissa, Voice of Zendikar enables use for us both early or late with her two abilities. Her first ability creates early blockers and her second ability can be used as a win more card when we have amassed quite a few strong tokens.

We want to make clone tokens with Riku's ability and through cards like Progenitor Mimic / Followed Footsteps / Repudiate / Replicate / Clone Legion and Giant Adephage. To profit of all the tokens we run Second Harvest.

We have a few tricks up our sleeve to survive the game such as Repudiate / Replicate / Illusionist's Gambit / Negate and Volcanic Offering. To keep our opponents on the edge and being scared of playing big spells, we run cards like Wild Ricochet and Reverberate.

One of the problems with our colour combination is how hard it is to interact with our own graveyard and making value and this is very problematic since we are going for the long game. For this sole purpose we run Seasons Past / Regrowth / Reap / Jace, Telepath Unbound and Genesis.

Our deck consist of a lot of heavy hitters which is the reason we are running Ilharg, the Raze-Boar. Ilharg can even cheat out a Clone which copies a big creatures for a quick heavy hit or we can cheat out a few creatures with enter the battlefield effects such as Flametongue Kavu / Avenger of Zendikar.

Potential combos and alterations

Potential combo Dualcaster Mage + (Heat Shimmer/Twinflame) infinite combo of hasty 2/2's.

Potential combo with Zealous Conscripts with Splinter Twin and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker.

Remove Gilded Lotus and Worn Powerstone for Harrow and Kodama's Reach.

Remove Body Double for Clever Impersonator.

Might add Sneak Attack and Kalonian Hydra.
