Angels Reborn! —Feb. 29, 2016

With this update I present to you my official Third version of this deck titled: "Immense Amounts Of Mana, Immensely Strong Angels". This version now really focuses on the Immense amount of mana that this deck can produce. It has an extra copy of Quarantine Field in it since I think that even in the early-mid game it is still a solid removal card, Only 1 mana more expensive than things like Oblivion Ring while it scales with the amount of mana you produce. For early game creatrures I already have Path of Exile so the 1 turn wait is not a problem. I also removed a lot of cards that were flavourable in an angel deck, but just werent good enough. These cards were:

Akroma, Angel of Wrath - If someone says 'Angel' in an mtg conversation you immedeatly think of akroma. The fact that it was such an iconic angel was the reason it stayed in the deck for such a long time. However for 8 mana a 6/6 creature with a bunch of effects that you can also just give to all your creatures with Akroma's Memorial. It just isn't good enough.

Angelic Arbiter - I feel like this card and Archangel of Tithes Dont mix very well. The one make sure someone cant attack and cast in the same turn, while the other burn the opponent's mana when she attacks or blocks. It feels like 2 card that kinda do the same. But Archangel of Tithes her mana cost and effect are better in this deck.

Baneslayer Angel - While this is one of the most powerful angels ever printed, she just doesnt fit in this deck. Her ability only affects herself, and doesnt give anything else. I dont need her for her low mana cost either, since mana isnt really a problem. I feel like I should either run 3-4 or 0.

Godsend - Didnt add enough to the deck to make the cut. There are better cards for this deck.

Stoneforge masterworks - Sure Stoneforge masterworks and Entreat the Angels seems good on paper, especially with Rogue's Passage. But it really isnt THAT good. Just blank +1/+1 counters don't do too much.

Plains - Now the total land count is at 20. I have added an aditional card that can fetch Plains.

But now that those cards are out fo the way, what did we add? I wont type anything about cards that already were in the deck but just got additional copies, however i will explain new cards.

+1 Admonition Angel

+1 Wall of Omens

+1 Endless Horizons

+1 Luminarch Ascension

+1 Quarantine Field

+2 Tower of Fortunes - Now this looks like a weird card to have in a deck, and it took me a long time until i finally decided to put it in. It is only in the deck to use leftover mana, which you will have a lot. I think its worth it to have 2 of these in the deck.

This version still needs a lot of testing. Maybe Tower of Fortunes isnt the card, or 20 lands is just not enough. We'll see.
