Well first, up vote for any sydri deck.

Would you run March of the machines? I do in my sydri edh. That with mycosynth lattice means everyone's (even yours but it's worth it) lands turn into 0/0 creatures at all times. I also run tempered steel to try and save my lands and also run grave betrayal which makes it so when any of your opponents lands die they come back under your control with a +1/+1 counter on them. I love the janky things you can do in sydri edh decks.

Thanks for the comment River_Rat3117, I've tested March of the Machines before but it ended up being too risky with the threat of blowing my mana base away. Definitely a card for more aggressively oriented artifact decks.

Rings of Brighthearth is an easy inclusion- it plus Basalt Monolith provides you infinite mana like Grand Architect + Pili Pala, plus is has a variety of benefits with tons of other cards in your deck. Gives you another out for that powerful, game ending Exsanguinate. Rings has more secondary and tertiary uses than Power Artifact, which also produces infinite mana with Basalt Monolith, which is why I'm recommending the former, instead.

Is there a reason you don't have Demonic Tutor? It'd make combos like Thopter Foundry + Sword of the Meek + Ironworks/Time Sieve (and 5 lands) way easier to assemble.

PookandPie, I actually do have rings in the deck but I haven't updated it in a while. And about Power Artifact and Demonic Tutor, at the moment I don't have 50 to 70 bucks to drop on two cards. Plus Sydri's first ability is literally Power Artifact, so I think I have that base covered.

Nevermind I thought power artifact only animated the artifact. Point still stands though, I'm broke.

I think Dispatch would be an easy replacement for Swords to Plowshares considering jus how many artifacts are being run

True, I'm just trying to find the right balance of artifacts and non artifact spells.

I wouldn't include Trinket Mage if you're not going to include more artifacts with converted mana cost of 1 or less. I think you're better off replacing that by other creatures that allows you to return artifacts from your graveyard to your hand. Argivian Archaeologist or Treasury Thrull come to mind.

Have you checked out Soulscour?

Aetherflux Reservoir is going to be insane in sydri decks.

I have a Sydri deck, and the Reservoir has been never suggested to me before. Thanks!

you have 2 Academy Ruins listed...also ever try Staff of Nin? good when ya give it deathtouch. same goes for Bullwhip, its also nice if you have bullwhip out and Caltrops, make a creature charge right into your trap.

Valentine35, It was in the original list but when I shifted it to a more competitive stance, I couldn't justify it. It was a six drop that drew me an extra card that didn't combo with anything else. It's just more efficient to tutor for what I need at any given point in time. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Turboshredder1 I'm not gonna lie to you, I hate the card Soulscour, and here's why: Let's assume I have Mycosynth Lattice out, everyone's stuff is an artifact in addition to it's other types. That effectively makes Soulscour a ten drop, which is a completely ridiculous mana cost by the way, that does absolutely nothing.

The reason I play Scour is for 2 reasons. One, I don't use the lattice, so that helps. Two, the big reason is that in my playgroup, Possibility Storm is a big thing right now, so throwing Soulscour into the storm always comes out with an enchantment killer(Merciless Eviction), so that fixes it. As soon as the group moves away from Possibility Storm, Soulscour is leaving for Wrath of God, Damnation, and friends.

You can't have Sydri without Liquidmetal coating, having a repeatable 1 mana land destruction is pretty insane. Looks like a fun deck!

Not sure why that linked a deck instead of the card...

zorsmobile, normally I'd agree that it should go in, but it just seems a bit too weak. Mycosynth Lattice does its job on a larger scale without the pesky once per turn activation cost.

Hmm, not sure I agree with you. Of course Mycosynth Lattice is better, but having redundancy isn't a bad thing, having twice the possibility of drawing it is still very valuable just like having Swords to Plowshares and Path of Exile is great. And 2 mana means it could possibly come online very early game and shut someone out, whereas Lattice is much later. Could see you cutting a land since you have a decent number of mana rocks.

That is to say I assume you're playing 1v1, if you generally play multiplayer then I absolutely understand not having Liquimetal Coating. And regardless, it is your deck. Still looks like a really cool list, I love the unexpected Caltrops synergy

DoritoDust007 says... #25

Nah fam, multiplayer only. This deck wouldn't last 5 turns in the 1v1 scene lol.
