Pirates! Who would've thought we'd see the day that pirate tribal got support beyond Ramirez DePietro? I'm even more excited to see what the next set brings. This deck utilizes Raid's etb effects and includes some options to make creatures unblockable to better abuse Admiral Beckett Brass.

The strongest point to a tribal deck are how synnergestic the creatures are for their own type. Cards like Admiral Beckett Brass act as lords, while others such as Dire Fleet Captain and Fathom Fleet Captain enjoy having more buddies around. Corsair Captain and Vanquisher's Banner's anthem effects are also quite nice in a deck with limited tribal support.

Lands are an important part of every commander deck, and this one is no different. Some utility can be found in the form of Academy Ruins, getting back any of my equipment that have been disenchanted. Ixilan brings us new flip cards that transform into lands which are all pretty useful. Thaumatic Compass   works as early game ramp, then turns into a Maze of Ith. Vance's Blasting Cannons   is great flavor-wise and gives some awesome card advantage.
