Trying out a post-rotation standard deck that works like soul sisters. Gain life, trigger good abilities, win.
The "Soul Sisters":
Ajani's Welcome Is an enchantment Soul Warden, but it only works for your creatures.
Fountain of Renewal Gain 1 life every turn. Can also be used to draw if you need cards and are good on life.
The payoffs:
Ajani's Pridemate The classic soul sisters 2 drop, gets really big really quickly.
Resplendent Angel 3 mana for a 3/3 flyer, which isn't bad. If you gain 5 life say 1 from fountain, 2 from ajani's welcome, 2 from lifelink creatures, you get a Serra Angel, basically a worse version of Angelic Accord although it is only 3 mana.
The token creators:
Legion's Landing
is great, gives you a lifegain source when it enters, easily flips and continues to give tokens every turn after.
History of Benalia 2 2/2 knights for 3 is a good deal, and the pump can help your Memorial to Glory tokens as well. Not sure about this card, it's good value but maybe splashing black for something like Call to the Feast would be better?
Memorial to Glory anything that generates more than one trigger of Ajani's Welcome is great, and it being a land really helps too.
The removal
Seal Away for early game threats
Ixalan's Binding for non-creature threats
Settle the Wreckage for when we need to wipe the board.
Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants Not too sure about him. His minus and ultimate are both great, but I wish there was a planeswalker source of easy token generation. Maybe we'll get an Elspeth in Guilds of Ravnica, I dunno.
Overall, I'm not sure about the deck. I think it could work, and maybe Guilds of Ravnica will have some more support, especially if extort returns. I have been considering going W/B for some of the vampires from Ixalan, what do you all think?
