Yet Another Aether Vortex is a card that demands to be built around, and I decided to meet that demand. The idea is to lay it down ASAP, then tear through your library/opponent's face in the same turn.

Lotus Petal and Crystal Vein are important for accelerating into an early Vortex, as well as preventing jam-ups if you see them on top.

Sensei's Divining Top is very good at keeping the top (of your library) stacked with flingers, while hiding mountains under them, granting limitless Top spinning.

As key as Sensei's Divining Top and Crystal Vein are, the fetch lands truly enable this deck. They prevent stalling, shuffle your library, and accelerate mana if you pop them from the top of the library. They are also very abusable using the stack, but I'll leave that to your imagination.

I love this deck! Every single card has a purpose, and they all fit together as if each was printed for this deck. It is technically capable of a turn 1 win (though I have yet to draw that hand, hehe), and can get relatively reliable (for a joke deck based around a single card) turn three and four wins, barring disruption. You're welcome, Universe.

LordOfDispair made a budget version that adheres to the theme of everything sacrificing itself (except, of course, the centerpiece enchantment). Aether Cannon is Ready For Action is well built with top-notch budget picks! If you like Full Automatic, you should check his build out.

I discovered Yet Another Aether Vortex Deck. It uses the library as a mana battery with Banefire as the coup de grace. It seems harder to get off the ground, but boasts more consistency once there. Bravo, Chamale! Bravo!

I Had an epiphany recently. To maximize consistency, take out 4x Shock Troops to put in 4x Tinder Wall. Take out 8x Mountain to put in 4x Taiga and 4x Stomping Ground.
