Control lists can be hard to pilot, so that's why you always write a guide! This deck is designed to exploit multiplayer politics to keep our hand full of answers to the threats that other players play. We'll hope that they don't mind a little light treason against each other.

We utilize a control shell to keep the board state in check long enough to introduce and defend our own finishers. The answers in this deck allow us to slow the game down and give us time to assemble our win conditions. Before long, our opponents will realize they've made a huge mistake in underestimating us.

The game plan for this deck is to play as much at instant speed as possible, and to utilize the commander's inherent card advantage to replay counterspells and removal to delay. This deck really cares about value (much like Carl Weathers) - reusing cards, cantrips, and cycling lands for draw. Throughout the game, we really need to get out either 3+ mana from nonland sources, for our win condition of choice (more below).

Using control magic:
We kind of blue ourselves in this deck, as you can see from the mana cost chart describing this deck. Nearly half of the costs are blue, and a quarter of the deck's spells are instant. We therefore need to take to the sea and prioritize getting blue mana producing lands on the field. Then we'll keep the mana up so that we can use (or bluff) a counter. Try to activate abilities (fetches, Tasigur) or cast non-counter instants at the last possible moment. That means no touching until the end step before you. You can play a bit more loose when Seedborn Muse is out.

Using Tasigur's ability:
When it comes to Tasigur's ability, we rely on the interplay of our opponents' decks. The political calculations for ensuring the success of this deck rely on us not being the archenemy. As long as some third person who is threatening to win, we can convince another player to give us an answer, should we not have one. With this in mind, we should not telegraph our wins when possible.

Using Tutors:
Normally for a tutor, we'll want to tutor for the second piece of a combo. Given how modular our two combo paths are, it's pretty likely by mid-game we'll have drawn at least one piece.

However, Intuition is that hardest choice among our tutors to use effectively. And so, we'll want to grab a creature, a reanimation spell, and a retrieval spell like Noxious Revival. If we keep the creature, we can cast it to finish a combo. If we keep the reanimation spell, we can reanimate the discarded creature. If we get the Revival, we can get back the reanimator and get out creature back.

Eldritch Evolution can be combined with a delved Tasigur to cheat out an early Palinchron, Nezahal, Primal Tide, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, or Razaketh, the Foulblooded.

The finishers come in the form of reanimated bombs and infinite mana combos. Once we have infinite mana we can cast Tasigur, dump and draw our deck, then cycle Reality Shift/Beast Within or Sign in Blood to victory.

Our winning combo is Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal. Scepter syncs well with our counterspell suite, since we ca put a counter under it and re-use it For combo purposes, we'll need to profitably recast Reversal with 3+ mana from dorks/rocks. Since Reversal untaps Scepter, we can repeat this ad nauseam. Again, we need either U or G surplus.

If Tasigur happens to mill an important piece on an activation, or if an important piece is destroyed or countered, then we can get it back from the grave with Noxious Revival or Eternal Witness, or with Snapcaster on Revival if it's in the yard.

Space in this list is very tight. I'm always looking to upgrade the control suite, and to perfect the ratio of counters/removal to support pieces for our combo.

Open to suggestions for ramp. I need at least 3+ mana from nonland sources for Scepter combo to break loose. Lands seem to be the harder resource to accrue, but it's possible that I'm trying to play and win too fast. Can't afford Duals or LED.

This list is based on three influential lists:
LabManiac_Cameron (Tasigur Seasons Past / Season Pastigur)
Dies_to_Doom_Blade (tasigur-reanimator-retired/)
