This is your classic Elf combo deck! Elves have always had a special place in my heart ever since I built my first playable standard deck during Scars of Mirrodin block in standard, so I figure I'd show my affinity for them by building a fast-paced combo deck!

I choose to run with Freyalise as the commander over Ezuri, Renegade Leader, because finding a mana sink to me is less difficult than having a problem artifact/enchantment across from you at the table that prevents you from winning the game in some way. These are highly played cards such as Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Silent Arbiter, Crawlspace, and a long list of others that can just shut down the deck and make winning impossible since Elves runs such a low amount of removal. Freyalise checks three out of the five boxes every Elf deck needs: ramp, removal, and card draw. Ezuri provides the other two in protecting your elves and having a mana sink, but that is much easier to attain in my opinion.

This deck's game plan is to fire off a turn 3 Freyalise and ultimate her before anyone else can get off the ground, so that on turn 4-6 you can draw your entire deck and answer any defenses they may have constructed to fend off your swarm of elves. My favorite way to virtually end the game on the spot is with Gilt-Leaf Archdruid, which just gains control of everyone else's lands immediately after you combo off. This deck isn't pulling any punches when it comes to winning, but you can always play slower and be more goofy with it if you want other players to have more fun.
