Freyalise Artifacts

Commander / EDH

DPenguin22

One thing I like to do with Commander decks is take an archetype and flip it on its head. For example, monogreen decks are not supposed to be artifact-themed. They're actually really good at taking artifacts and moving them to the graveyard. So, I decided to build a deck that did both. This deck is filled with fun artifacts and silly combos. The best, though, is how the commander, Freyalise, combos with cards like Liquidmetal Coating and Mycosynth Lattice. You basically turn her into a planeswalker that says, "-2: destroy anything you want." Its pretty mean, but also pretty creative, if I do say so myself. Green also has the right cards to return broken artifacts from your graveyard to your hand, and tutor up artifact creatures (or whatever creatures) you need. Its a maybe more than a little bit janky, but really fun to bring to the table. I also really like budget decks, and this deck strives to be one of those. With the exception of Mycosynth Lattice (now made more affordable thanks to Battlebond) and Freyalise herself, almost all of the cards in this deck are less than $5, most of them being less than $2. The deck can be modified for tighter or looser budgets, however you want. I hope you like this deck, because its pretty great. Leave me comments or suggestions, please :)
