Creature (1)

Originally this deck was a lot different than it currently is. It started out as a successor to my four-color Wizard-tribal deck. From there, I enjoyed the Merfolk tribe enough that I just... decided to make it one of my pet decks.

This is probably my favorite deck of mine to play. It has no dearth of options, and multiple avenues to victory: Commander damage on two fronts; A singular, large combat step; A steady grind of small, but mounting attacks; Eviscerating all my opponents' libraries with Grimoire Thief and Freed from the Real ; or even producing infinite mana, drawing my deck, and using Profane Command with Sigil Tracer to remove all my opponents' life totals and creatures.

Thing is, with this variety of avenues, one would think it a clunky deck, right? Wrong. I've found that among all my decks, this one flows the most seamlessly between modes of attack, and can even take several at once. Probably the two gripes I have are that this deck can't effectively answer its opponents' hands, and that it only contains one large-scale reanimation spell.
