Form of the Dinosaur is such a weird card, I feel it deserves some place in some deck somewhere.

This deck serves as type of Wither deck, focusing around the interaction between Soul-Scar Mage, Nest of Scarabs, and any noncombat damage spells. Keep in mind that since Soul-Scar converts ALL noncombat damage into counters, and the nest converts ALL counters into insects, Form of the Dinosaur will indeed get you 15 Insect tokens for each upkeep.

Due to the volatile nature of Form of the Dinosaur, a careful balance of dealing damage to creatures and gaining life has to be met, hence the importance of cards such as Essence Extraction.
