Footsteps of Rakdos Lord 2.0

Modern* BR (Rakdos) Budget Competitive Reanimator

Maybeboard

  1. This utilizes your graveyard, but also has a strong board. Sweet play is Footsteps of the Goryo to raise Flayer of the Hatebound.

Creatures

  1. Flayer of the Hatebound x4 - bring him back from graveyard with Footsteps of the Goryo and you get to ping 4 right away and 5 damage at the end of turn. Plus you get to keep him as a 5/3 creature. Maga!
  2. Perilous Myr x3 - When you attack with it you will deal damage no matter what. So it's your best friend in getting out ...
  3. Rakdos, Lord of Riots x2 - I just want to smash people who say it's not modern-playable!
  4. Lightning Skelemental x2 - Another creature that's good with Footsteps of the Goryo.
  5. Sin Prodder x4 - I like this devil! You get card advantage or your opponent gets damage. Good in enabling Rakdos, Lord of Riots. Looks good with Lightning Greaves. Other creatures are intentionately high cmc so that opponent will have a hard time choosing damage or discard.

Other Spells

  1. Thrill of Possibility x4 - Preferably discard something for future Footsteps of the Goryo's.
  2. Footsteps of the Goryo x4 - Nom nom nom.
  3. Seal of Fire x2 - Works to set up Rakdos, Lord of Riots.
  4. Lightning Greaves x2 - Sweet boots! Works well with Sin Prodder and Footsteps of the Goryo. ***sweet scenario: you have 4 mana, Greaves on the battlefield, Rakdos Lord in your graveyard and Flayer in your hand. Footstep Rakdos Lord, equip boots, swing for six, cast Flayer for one red.
  5. Smallpox x3 - My new favourite non-creature card! Some decks are straight away undone by this card. Overall should hurt your opponent more than you. Cast it when he or she has a creature on play and you don't. Extra sweet against Infect and Aura Hexproof.
  6. Pyroclasm x2 - Ah' I love the smell of pyroclasm in the morning. Sometimes it's sweet to have a Perilous Myr on the battlefield and get to ping two extra damage.

Lands

  1. Drownyard Temple - Good to discard.
  2. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth - No harm in having x2 of these.
