Purpose/Theory: This is meant to be an ideal deck when drafting Dimir colors (blue + black) at FNM. I'd imagine the colors you draft will be dependent on what high power card you open in your first pack (R or M, maybe a U) so you can't know for sure you will be able to make this deck, but it could be a good route if you get Dimir cards. It includes 3 M/R cards, 8 U cards and 12 Commons in the main deck, plus 3 Dimir Guildgates and 14 basic lands. This is about the distribution I'd expect for a normal 3 pack draft. I think it's unlikely to get more than 4 M/R's and 8 U's in a single FNM draft. The maybeboard includes all potentially viable alternatives to the main deck for Dimir.

Main Deck specific comments:The main deck here is focused around the surveil mechanic. Dream Eater, Doom Whisperer, Etrata, the Silencer, Nightveil Predator, and Notion Rain, Dimir Spybug, and Thoughtbound Phantasm are key cards. Growing these off of surveils is great. Darkblade Agent and Watcher in the Mist are also important. Getting lots of surveil mechanics is crucial.
