Purpose/Theory: This is meant to be an ideal deck when drafting Boros colors (red + white) at FNM. I'd imagine the colors you draft will be dependent on what high power card you open in your first pack (R or M, maybe a U) so you can't know for sure you will be able to make this deck, but it could be a good route if you get Boros cards. It includes 4 M/R cards, 7 U cards and 13 Commons in the main deck, plus 2 Boros Guildgates and 14 basic lands. This is about the distribution I'd expect for a normal 3 pack draft. I think it's unlikely to get more than 4 M/R's and 8 U's in a single FNM draft. The maybeboard includes all potentially viable alternatives to the main deck for Boros.

Main Deck specific comments: The main deck here is focused around the mentor mechanic with a splash in a couple helpful convokes. Both of these mechanics are supported by the large number of cheap low power creatures to buff and a handful of useful sorceries/instants. Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice, Tajic, Legion's Edge and Light of the Legion are your three main drivers here. At least one of these is (likely) necessary, if you have Truefire Captain, Blade Instructor and maybe Hammer Dropper or Boros Challenger to back it up, but ideally you get all three and cut Hammer Dropper and Blade Instructor. Fire Urchin, Healer's Hawk, Roc Charger and Skyknight Legionnaire are key small creatures to pick up and should be prioritized. They are all easy to buff and have great abilities/stats for their cost that just get better once buffed. As far as spells, Command the Storm, Inescapable Blaze, Intervention and Justice Strike are great removal with IB and Intervention potentially doubling as finishers. Take Heart and Integrity are great combat tricks that also let you mentor extra when used on a mentor creature. Gird for Battle also serves this purpose outside of combat.

Edit: Switched one mountain for a plains since two white is more necessary than two red, especially early on if you draw Truefire Captain.
