Y'know what? I thoroughly like the idea behind this deck. Gotta love the Gremlins.

Thank you very much! The lore of the gremlins is so awesome. Cute little buggers. :D

You can say that's what the lore behind gremlins is, but we all know the truth: Gremlins are Kaladesh Atogs.

Redace878, exactly! But I would argue that gremlins are more adorable than atogs :P

try splashing some for This Kid Over 'Ere

try 2 of her, three Swamps, three Deck Thinners, 2 Dual Lands and 2 Cycle Lands. I'd suggest going up to 20 lands at least, too, and getting rid of the Dodgy Act of Treasons, a Key and a Shoot for these options. I'd also like to suggest you use four good, steardy removal Cards in the mainboard, and three plainswalker removal at Instant speed in the sideboard.

This will add a combo of artifact ETB, sacrificing it with Ravenous Intruder, then This Kid Over 'Ere will generate a servo, triggering Gremlin Bodyguard #1 again, and then sacrificing the servo to Gremlin Bodyguard #2, letting you swing with a a 3/6 trampler and a 5/6 in the one turn from a single artifact.

Apart from that, it's a pretty good-looking deck deck

How does Bomat courier work in here, I don't want to dump my hand too often. Is he just one drop food for the Original Danksters. If it's just food then why not Implement of Combustion

bobong says... #7

Hmmm you make a great point, BenTheGuyThe! I will have to do some more testing but Bomat Courier is some small pressure early game and some hands work out where I am refilling my hand with the presents he generates. I do like Implement of Combustion for the 1 drop food with the added bonus of drawing a card. Thank you for the suggestion!

euananddalesaccount!! Thank you for the suggestion! I didn't even know that Sly Requisitioner was a thing! Splashing the with the Evolving Wilds and other tap lands really turn my aggro/combo deck into a midrange/combo deck. >:)

noodr my thoughts on it are with Implement of Combustion you get the bonus of drawing more cards, without having to sac it to itself, and not discarding your hand.

With Bomat Courier, you draw two or three cards, without any of the other benefits stated above.

I think you should replace bomat courier, it will make the Dankfather happy

I feel like I do need more creatures than just tweedle dee and tweedle dum for some damage so on turn 1, Bomat Courier starts chipping, I can sac it to tweedle dee or use it to pump tweedle dum, and if I happen to empty my hand, I can reload with its ability. Implement of Combustion is great when sacrificed but if not it's a turn one do nothing. Just my thoughts but I might go 2 and 2. Don't want to upset the Dankfather!! Thank you so much for the help :D

I feel like gremlin/atog aggro is probably the best thing in standard right now. It's also great that it's only $30. I have some suggestions: after playtesting a while, I realized with only 6 gremlins in the deck, you don't get them very often. I would suggest cutting down on the Kari Zev's Expertise to add two more gremlins. During playtesting, it took a while to get up and running (for me), so the additional gremlins should solve this problem. Otherwise, awesome decklist!

Hey, awesomesos thank you so much for the kind words! I was also feeling the lack of gremlins to be an issue. Would you suggest running the full playset of Salivating Gremlins or some other gremlin? When I ordered the deck online I got playsets of everything just to fine tune the ratios of each. Thanks again!!

noodr!!! I didn't realize you had this deck already and here I am making this clunkier version. I like this a lot, we both seem to love the Gremlins (cough atog). I see now looking at your deck that mine needed more cards like Wrangle to get creatures out of the way for mine to swing in. Thank you for the inspiration!

ISchock!!! Thank you for the kind words! :D and that's the problem with mtg on the interwebs because if you want to build a deck, most likely someone has done it before you. I'm definitely not the first one to have the Atog + Fling combo (and I won't be the last) on this website or irl so we just have to figure out the build that works for us with the knowledge/testing from others. That way the deck is still ours. :)

noodr,
This is just superb. And I LOVE the price point.

By the way, there's a little more Gremlin lore here and some fun concept art here.

And finally, I saw this dice pouch in a game store in Northern Virgina the other day. Amazing!

Draw well!

Thank you very much, clayperce! Congrats on being number 1 with Serious Ponza :)

The lore is so awesome! And I actually have that dice pouch. It's so funny.

Hey how has this deck stacked against some of the more well known decks? Basically how did play testing go?

July 18, 2017 1:35 a.m.

bobong says... #23

sagartomar99 hey sorry for getting back to you so late! This deck is sort of all in on the atog combo and has very little threat count besides that. The meta is so control/removal heavy so it is tough unless the stars align and you get the right cards at the right time. I'm trying to tinker with adding more threats in the form of Brazen Scourge and I have realized my sideboard is really bad. I need to a lot more testing but I think I've made some decent adjustments. Any tips or thoughts would be very appreciated :)

I built a Vehicles deck and played it for two seasons.

I found that Untethered Express was better than Fleetwheel Cruiser. It MUST be answered, or it takes control of the game.

July 27, 2017 9:38 p.m.

bobong says... #25

Argy, hey thank you for the advice! I had been looking for a vehicle to add at the 4 cmc slot as a mid/late game threat. I liked the fact that Fleetwheel Cruiser comes in swinging but Untethered Express can be crewed by just one of my servos. I'm gonna go with your suggestion :)
