Grand Arbiter Augustin IV might serve as a better commander. He is too good.
Also if you can give Palisade Giant (new card from Return to Ravnica) hexproof or something of that sort you can really abuse the detain mechanic.
Otherwise I really like this deck +1 from me.
Propaganda , Ghostly Prison , Haazda Shield Mate , Mirror-Sigil Sergeant , card:Norn's Annex, Recurring Insight , Divine Deflection , Glory , Return to Dust , Hinder , Counterspell , Mana Leak , Celestial Colonnade , Soul Snare , Prison Term , Final Judgment , Austere Command , Oblation , False Prophet , card:Martyr's Bond, Moat , Magus of the Moat to count a few of them...
And I don't think Overrule is a good choice...
Don't forget the original! Isperia the Inscrutable would be good here.
Thanks for all the ides guys, really appreciate it!
if i had both him and my commander down though wouldn't the legend rule kick in killing them both? or is that only if they're the exact same card?
have Isperia the Inscrutable as your general. tutot up this isperia then play it. THEN WONDER TWIN POWERS ACTIVATE
And you have ALOT of fliers so its serves better. card:Marshal's Anthem as well.
yeah sure academy's got a hefty price tag but she's worth every damn cent oh and mother of runes is stupid good haha.
Personally i like the new one more, Its ability is passive so i can just sit back and get massive card advantage while locking down their creatures when they attack; and then late game storming the gates. i might just switch between the two as my commander and see which i prefer.
That combo is awesome but i don't really want to pay that much for a single card :/
I advice you to remove Isperia the Inscrutable , you won't be able to trigger the ability that often and even if you do the chance of guessing right isn't really high.Instead, you could add Sphinx Ambassador , it's way more useful.
if you want to use the card ability, use Mirror Gallery and Rite of Replication to make you draw a lot of cards and use cards that make the opponent take the damage, and use Omniscience to just add to the chaos.
