Okay, so this is my first crack at a themed/flavor deck and I had a ton of fun building it! I took a lot of inspiration from Jumbo Commander's deck tech video. I really liked the idea of a Political/Creatures/Control Deck, as all three synergies well with how I prefer to play. I knew that this might be a little difficult with the color pattern. So I just started adding cards that I liked, with emphasis the three pillars: political, creature, and control. By the time I was done I had 150 cards with no lands. I trimmed it down with the emphasis on a theme of, what a kingdom might look like under Queen Marchesa. I hope you enjoy it.

The Crown-

Okay, so The crown is obviously the rulers of this kingdom. Youve got Queen Marchesa at the helm. Whats a Queen without her King? Darien, King of Kjeldor does create a bit of defense and also creates tokens, two things that this deck likes to do!

The High Council-

Corruption doesnt come close to describing the high council. These guys are all about defenses and taxes. Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker is a big deterrent for potential attackers. Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts is basically a Darien And Michiko in one! Kambal, Consul of Allocation is going to be hard to keep alive, no one likes taxes..

Martial Strength-

Lets beef up those defenses and what better way to do that that with a strong offense! Thalia, Heretic Cathar helps our attackers get through a little easier with opponents creatures and non basic lands entering tapped. Assemble the Legion, more and more tokens! Bastion Protector, Gideon Jura, and Protector of the Crown all serve as bodyguards for us. Odric, Master Tactician allows us to choose how blocks take place most benefitting us. Elspeth, Sun's Champion bigger and more tokens are always nice. With Sun Titan were starting to see another theme in this deck and that is graveyard recursion.

Cloak & Dagger-

Nothing compliments a strong military like some sneaky black ops! Queen Marchesa creates us assassin tokens, so I kinda ran with that theme. Royal Assassin is a great way to dispatch those pesky creatures your opponents keep attacking with. Ophiomancer also creates Deathtouch tokens but this time theyre snakes! Another assassin would be Thorn of the Black Rose and she has a built in steal the Monarchy back. Shizo, Death's Storehouse, Rogue's Passage and Whispersilk Cloak all help our assassins get through to steal back the Monarch.

Royal Decrees-

Death or Taxes? Why not both? No Mercy Capital Punishment and Council's Judgment force people to kill their own creatures. Land Tax helps you keep up on land, while Polluted Bonds help keep them behind. We find a couple of win conditions in here as well with cards like Debt to the Deathless and Insurrection. And while were taxing, lets make sure they cant search their libraries for solutions either with Stranglehold.

The Royal Vault-

This is where most of our mana ramp and mana fixing lies. A lot of these don't need a description, but I do want to point out Crown of Doom. If someone seems eager to be stealing the monarchy from you, you can give them a crown of their very own and watch your opponents fight over control of that. Also, Sword of Light and Shadow has more of that graveyard recursion that we were talking about. Not to mention, Black and White are a ton of spot removal spells making the equipped creature pretty damn difficult to remove.
