This is a smothering Tithe combo deck. The idea is to tutor up smothering tithe, then start playing wheel effects once its in play to generate tons of mana. Then use that mana into a big X finisher spell. Or there are some back up win cons with Locust God and Pyscosis Crawler. Additionally you can use cards like Library of the Leng to prevent yourself from wheeling the cards that you need.

Does this deck need to be 5 colors? No. Green is not providing anything completely necessary to the combo. However I looked at the 4 color options and none of the partner commanders really wowed me. Could certainly use something like Ishai just to have a nice flying threat that opponents have to deal with, but again not necessarily part of the combo. Then there was also Breya, but Breya is one of those decks that people are sick of so I decided not to go that route either and just settled on 5 color, since people really dont know what you are up to on 5 color until theyve seen the deck a few times.
