Forced swap —Feb. 5, 2016

The rules committee has forced me to sacrifice flavor, Seedborn Muse has replaced Prophet of Kruphix.

How often do you actually get to cast Deus of Calamity or any of the other spirit avatars? With a five-color land base, it seems very unlikely that you'd get the required mana in any reasonable frame of time unless you draw or tutor Chromatic Lantern. Logic dictates that I recommend you cut them, even though they're important to the flavor of the deck and help turn the Theros gods into creatures.

NarejED I can actually cast them quite reliably. Chromatic Lantern isn't the only way to get them out early/on time. I also have Prismatic Omen, Belbe's Portal, Fist of Suns, and Quicksilver Amulet. I almost always have at least one of these things in my hand by the time I want to put one of the demigods on the field.

This deck is sweet!

Have you considered any of the ultimatums for this?

Brilliant Ultimatum

Cruel Ultimatum

Violent Ultimatum

Titanic Ultimatum

Clarion Ultimatum

Killkow: Out of the Ultimatums, Titanic Ultimatum is the only one I would consider since it would make a decent finisher.

On the subject of Greater Auramancy / Fountain Watch, I distest shroud. Having either of those on the field would completely shut down Xenagos, God of Revels, Nylea, God of the Hunt, and Thassa, God of the Sea's activated abilities. Not to mention Bow of Nylea and a couple of my planeswalker's abilities. I would use Privileged Position way before using the other two.

I run a very similar deck with Karona at the helm and a heavy enchantment theme. First I would like to say this list has really helped fine tune my deck. I had to sacrifice a lot of flavor cards for functionality but it has been very worth it.

I came to ask for advise on dealing with flyers. My main opponent plays a Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck. Although our games have been very close I have had a very hard time keeping the dragons from being able to swing in unopposed. So far my strongest defenses were Pariah on a God card and a separate time Collective Restraint and Sphere of Safety combined kept him away. Other than that if I cant set up a board fast enough I am in trouble. Granted I have only played this deck 1v1 so far I fear flyers will give me trouble in the future. Any advise? Thanks!

megabrofist : Since you're going with an enchantment build you could always try a one of the following cards. Chaosphere, Gravity Well, or Gravity Sphere. Mystic Decree might be worth it too. All of these would be pretty good at hosing his deck. You could also run Archetype of Imagination, though that is much easier to get rid of.

ElendVenture have you considered using slivers in this deck? I don't know how it will run but it seems like it could be worthwhile.

slivers are an entirely different deck than 5-color gods.

September 3, 2015 10:37 a.m.

well i understand that but they're abilities are worth it and there are slivers in all 5 colors. Are you saying that you wouldn't recommend it?

are there multiple ways to win or multiple stradegys?

sorinmarkov2000 Yes, there are. The main way is to just build up an army of gods. Most decks can't deal with that many indestructible creatures and will always lose in a war or attrition. Even if someone gets me with All Is Dust, I just get everything back with one of my three mass recursion spells.

The card advantage is very real in this deck too. 7 of my planeswalkers get me some sort of card draw, and I run an almost complete suite of Enchantress cards. I have enough mana production in the deck that I will only end up discarding in rare cases, so I'm constantly throwing out spell after spell

In the end, there is also Progenitus. If I'm lucky, he can be out by turn 5.

This looks really cool, love what you did with the theme.

I have a 5-color Dragon Deck so I do have some suggestions.

I would recommend Dragon Arch instead of Quicksilver Amulet or Belbe's Portal because most of your creatures are multicolored.

Urza's Incubator might also be worth a look because let's be honest, casting Gods for 2/3 mana is ridiculus.

In case you want to speed up your manabase you should look at Ranger's Path, Skyshroud Claim, Hunting Wilds, Nature's Lore or Farseek since you can get any kind of color with your shocklands.

Last and maybe least i would suggest to getting rid of the temples and replacing them with Battlefield Forge, Llanowar Wastes, Shivan Reef and so on because you can use them the turn they are played. (I honestly don't know what these kinds of lands are called ')

GrinningSun I did not know that Dragon Arch was a card, I will be cutting Belbe's Portal for it as soon as I can find a copy of it.

Urza's Incubator has come up before, but I have yet to pick one up. Might even pick up multiple for my other tribal decks when I finally do get one.

Not sure what I'd cut for the mana ramp, but I mostly never have trouble hitting my land drops.

I am not willing to budge on the temples seeing as they support the overall flavor of this deck. Them coming into play tapped doesn't hold me back all that often, and the scry helps me filter my topdeck more often than not. (The lands you're suggesting are called pain lands btw)

Another card that you can use to cheat your gods into play is Dragon Arch!! :D

Oops, sorry. I didn't realize Dragon Arch was already suggested.

I'm very impressed with your deck. I also made a WUBRG enchantment & goodstuff deck, Here to stay.

I'd appreciate any advice you have for my deck. I'm at a point of not knowing what to take out for new cards. I was able to get my CMC average from 5.5 to around 4 without I think, giving up too much power. My focus was to make my cards indestructible. By the end of a game all my cards including lands, are typically indestructible enchantment/artifact creatures.

Have you considered Spirit of Resistance? It would be easy to turn online with the creatures alone

Wow, just, wow. I wish I could say I have some of these cards you list here.

I'm actually trying to build my own Pantheon based strategy and I can say without a shadow of a doubt you're missing 3 key cards.

Enchanted Evening, which can easily replace Sarkhan Unbroken if you've got this land.Serra's Sanctum, which is a great card to give you all the white mana you'll ever need.Helm of the Gods, which while you obviously can't use on for Progenitus any other creature you control is free game.

Seeing your build I realize my own deck has a lot of changing needed to make it more consistent, but I still hope you like my own suggestions!

Yeah, I just haven't been able to make the change since I'm on vacation.

I'm very upset with this ban since it messes with the flavor of my deck.

Seedborn Muse might not be the best choice for this deck, there isn't much play at instant speed built in and that's half of why prophet is good. having mana every turn doesn't do anything if you can't spend it on anything.
