Need to speed this up —Jan. 7, 2015

I found that the only downside of this deck is the super slow start. Aside from that, it just snowballs into a landslide by turn 10 if they don't keep a close eye on me.

PLEASE, if you're going to suggest an addition to this deck, suggest a cut as well. I am more than willing to make cuts.

Loooove this deck. I was going to make one like it but I would have to A) Dismantle a few of my decks that have all these cards in it, or B) Buy doubles of everything I already have which can be quite pricey. +1 for sure. Here's a thought, you could use tutors in here to get what you need...Demonic Tutor , Vampiric Tutor , Diabolic Tutor , or even a Time of Need to dig for a specific legendary creature. If money isn't an issue, look into getting cards such as Scalding Tarn and Arid Mesa ...those type of lands can really help you out if you need a certain land type, I do believe those work for the shock lands too. Or just use the tutors for the land you need.

Have you considered adding Academy Rector to the list to cheat out any god you need?

PlattBonnay I hadn't considered it, but I will be sure to give it a try once I can get my hands on it.

aznb01777 Hmmm, I will try that out when I get back from my deployment.

UpperDeckerTaco I don't know what I would take out for tutors at the moment. Maybe some planeswalkers, but I don't have some of those tutors yet anyway. As for the fetch lands, I think I can do without them. They don't speed this deck up anymore than it already is at this point. Plus, I don't have them. I don't plan on picking any up until they get reprinted.

Skyshroud Claim would be good for ramping it since u can grab 2 shocklands

really those temple lands set u back since it comes into play tapped. My deck god devotion is gears towards enchantments you can check it out to see if there are other cards you could run Devotion to Cromat

To piggyback on PlattBonnay's suggestion, Academy Rector can also let you search out Omniscience to put that out early if you can either sac or get the Rector killed early.

Well...amazingronaldo is very right...but I didn't think that went with the flavour of the deck too well. Future Sight might be a good option too.

One card that doesn't see enough love is All Suns' Dawn where you can conflix your graveyard once for five mana, tends to be useful way to get some fun stuff back

As far as lands go, I definitely recommend the pain lands (Shivan Reef , Adarkar Wastes , etc.) They are relatively inexpensive and great mana fixers. I used to run the temples in my 5 color sliver edh deck, but found the pain lands to be head and shoulders better.

Check out my deck Gods for fun??? its fairly competitive. My biggest recommendation is Primal Surge yes it has high cost BUT whats 10 mana to put over half your deck into play??

How about a Plague Wind since you cant run other boardwipes, without killing your devotion of course.

Quicksilver Amulet to help get your big-costed critters into play for only 4 mana?

Oracle of Mul Daya to help get lands onto the field? Mana Reflection ? I don't understand why Opal Palace is in the mix other than being a filter... perhaps Ancient Tomb or Temple of the False God for some land ramp? Krosan Verge and Forbidden Orchard might also be lands you consider. Skyshroud Claim will get you forests connected to any other color you might need since you're running the shocks. Nature's Lore , Three Visits , Safewright Quest , Wood Elves , or Spoils of Victory will all also get you forests. Sylvan Scrying will snag you any land you want!

I think Opal Palace works because it turns progenitus into a 2-hit kill instead of three-hit. definitely significant to think about.

No shards of alara lands. Sure they come in tapped, but tapping for 3 colors with no drawback otherwise. I would trade out some temples for the shard lands. Even some panorama's would fit nicely and could search for the pain lands. (ex. [Bant panorama], [Seaside Citadel])

Temples fit the flavor of the deck better, and scrying for free is never not good.

On a side note, I've never really enjoyed Progenitus as a commander. I just think he's too powerful, and the primary objective of the format is to have fun. Regardless of that, I love the flavor of this deck and that in itself deserves an upvote. The Rift is a great board-wiper and you have an ingenius method of returning your dead Gods for cheap. Personally I think Child of Alara would make a better commander. You won't get as much devotion from her, but the threat of wiping everything out except for your indestructible God army is too scary.

You could try Sigarda, Host of Herons and Tajuru Preserver to solve the Sacrifice problem.
Also, this deck is willing for Captain Sisay . If you add her, you may add some Legendary Lands from Kamigawa block too :)

A wild Blood Moon appeared! It's super effective! 5-color godstuffs fainted.ElendVenture has no Pokemon remaining! ElendVenture whited out!

JA14732: Chromatic Lantern doesn't care about your Blood Moon , and neither does Prismatic Omen as long as it's played after. BM and PO are both Layer 4 effects, and as such the time when they are played matters for the resolved ability. CL is a Layer 6 effect, so it doesn't matter when it was played in relation to BM.

lil_cheez: I've been thinking about trying Sigarda, Host of Herons since I already have Avacyn, Angel of Hope in here. As for Captain Sisay , not going to be in this build. I have been considering another build with a focus on legendary creatures though. It would include both the captain and Heroes' Podium

Jaxis: You are correct, the temples will stay over any other land in this deck because of both the flavor, and the scry ability. As for Child of Alara , I used to run her. You can do some fun shenanigans with her, but ultimately devotion matters too much in this deck. Plus, Progenitus makes for a great distraction while I'm building my god army.

mufintime: Temples have to stay. Those are the only lands I am not willing to take out of this deck. Flavor is the main point of this deck, and taking out and of the temples would be cheating.

BX223Hunter: Good call on Quicksilver Amulet , I'm always looking to cheat in creatures with my mana base. I shall be finding a place in my deck for it as soon as I return from deployment. Mana Reflection will be making its way back into the deck eventually. I had to cut it out for Mirari's Wake due to both availability and cost. As for Opal Palace , asasinater13 has it right. A 2 turn kill with Progenitus is better than a 3 turn kill any day of the week. It also has the upside of being a land filter in a pinch like you said. Temple of the False God is already in my deck. As for the rest, I am trying to keep the sorcery and instant cards to a minimum so that I can potentially run Primal Surge as a win condition if I so choose.

Chargingbadgerrrrrrrr: I've been considering both of those for awhile now, but I'm not sure what I want to take out for them.

Jeggard: I have been considering Primal Surge for awhile, and I may just add it when I get back from my deployment.

Did I hear "cheat creatures into play"?
Maybe some one of these may help:
Cryptic Gateway , Belbe's Portal , Descendants' Path , Dramatic Entrance , Garruk, Caller of Beasts , Tooth and Nail , Mayael the Anima
