Five Color Aurelia Reanimator

Commander / EDH

Maybeboard

Yes. Five color Aurelia Reanimator. This is not a hyper competitive deck, but it's really, really fun.

The spiritual commander is Aurelia, the Warleader. She'll show up eventually in every game to push synergies over the top. Child of Alara just gives us five color access and a solid board wipe if we need one. The deck plays standard reanimator strategies to cheat out huge threats.

Main Theme

At it's heart, this is an Aurelia deck, but with five colors you have access to creatures that never get a chance to take advantage of multiple combat steps. The reanimation package also serves to accelerate big effects onto the field much faster and more resiliently than Boros could ever do otherwise.

Medomai the Ageless - If he hits multiple times in a normal turn, you get multiple extra turns.

Maelstrom Archangel , Mindleech Mass, Lord of the Void - Free stuff! Once a couple of these are on the board, people start panicking.

Sun Titan - Keep bringing back your permanents or recycle your fetches to accelerate that mana base.

Balefire Dragon, Steel Hellkite - Mini wipes. Keep your opponents clear of threats. If Steel Hellkite hits two opponents in a single turn, you can activate its ability after the second combat to destroy permanents for both opponents.

Silverblade Paladin - Synergy with everything here.

Yore-Tiller Nephilim - Multiple pseudo-haste reanimations per turn is very efficient.

Anger, Lightning Greaves - Haste is really important with all the attack abilities.

Card Draw

Cards in hand are very important for this deck. There are a number of ways to drop things into play for free, so you tend to quickly exhaust your hand. Keeping a full grip is vital for having quality drops to put into play and for increasing the reliability of having the removal and counters you need to keep the board healthy.

To this end, you want to land something like Rhystic Study or Mystic Remora as early as you can. Reanimating Consecrated Sphinx early game is also pretty good for your game plan. Once the game is established, things like Damia, Sage of Stone, Prime Speaker Zegana, and Sphinx of Uthuun help maintain the card advantage.

Reanimator

Usual stuff here. Animate Dead and Necromancy can be cast early and can be recurred by Sun Titan if they get removed. Careful Study, Faithless Looting, and Frantic Search all work well for digging into the deck and dumping reanimation targets. Entomb and Buried Alive stack the yard in prep for big plays.

Survival of the Fittest does lots of work, particularly liking to find legendaries and then Loyal Retainers . Sheoldred, Whispering One, Yore-Tiller Nephilim , and Sun Titan all do strong work in recurring threats again and again.

Removal

Lots of typical high quality removal here like Beast Within, Pongify, Rapid Hybridization , Swords to Plowshares, and Path to Exile. Red Elemental Blast is also surprisingly good, being able to counter counters, kill blue things, and can send Child of Alara to the yard in a pinch.

Kederekt Leviathan is a strong reusable wipe. Once he's in your graveyard, Animate Dead and Necromancy wipe the board and then they go back to your hand, returning Kederekt back to the graveyard so you can do it again. A good tactic is to use Necromancy's instant mode to bounce everybody's stuff during your opponent's turn, forcing them to discard down to seven.
