First one to draw out... well, uh, loses.

Tiny Leaders Control Devotion Forcefeed Mill Mono-Blue Tron

Sideboard

Maybeboard

Since Tiny Leaders involves running a "slim" deck, it looks like the perfect opportunity to punish through force feeding and then denying all the things the opponent draws into! Also, milling.

Kami hits the field pretty quickly, which accelerates the game. Using this to keep the hand full of options while waiting for the Tron lands or Nykthos is key to the X costs within the deck.

As if that isn't enough fun, some unblockable threats are in here for utility/good measure!

Contingency plans include milling yourself to win with a well-timed Laboratory Maniac or just bring the beats with strong control.

Please let me know what you think could help make this more effective!

Holy smokes! Didn't realize this deck got the views it did! Been about... oh, 2 years since I logged in so I figured I'd see what was going on. Heck was I surprised!!! First of all, thank you everyone that has taken anything from this deck or added it to their list of ideas. Super cool to see this is entertaining to someone other than myself out there. Second, quite a few changes took place in in the last couple years of piloting this deck, namely because of my Tiny Leaders Meta that my playgroup had, and I'm sure more will adjust as my new meta forms.

At any rate, there are quite a few huge changes I made to the deck, so the additions were as follows:

  • Remand: Mostly for tempo, and in some cases, just flipping Erayo, Soratami Ascendant  Flip or getting Storm stacks for Brain Freeze. Not always a counter spell ;)

  • Disrupting Shoal: Free counter spell... Having a plethora of blue in hand almost always means you have some sneaky counters even when you've gone all in to cast things (easy to do with this deck)

  • Daze: Again, that free counter spell, which has flexibility like Remand when needed

  • Dream Twist: Instant mill is cool, and Flashback gives you something between turns if you are holding counter magic or just topdecking.

  • Counterspell: No reason not to run it really

  • Riddlekeeper: Most decks are running creatures to beat you down, so this made sense, particularly with its toughness

  • Hedron Crab: Took me a while to come around to this acquisition, but I have to be honest, any mill deck will agree this boi is the MVP

  • Drowner Initiate: Mostly sits there, but the ability triggers frequently enough to where you can sink some mana to make the mill matter over time. Plus, it's a body to throw in front of trouble when necessary

  • Rhystic Study: Feels good resolving this and watching your opponent lose the draw battle. Also, adds some devotion for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

  • Horn of Greed: The real sleeper of the deck, this baby can draw SO MANY CARDS

  • Sapphire Medallion: Sometimes, you just need cheaper spells... this is a hard maybe for being rotated to SB or cut altogether.

  • Shelldock Isle: Synergy

  • Maze of Ith: Helps mitigate damage, effectively buying the turns necessary to finish milling an opponent (usually ends up being a reeeaaaalll nail biter)
