Niv-Mizzet, Parun Aims to win the table by drawing and dealing damage to your opponents or drawing your entire deck with the Lab Man in play. You can also win the game through infinite mana cast cantrips and wheel effects while dealing damage.

Niv-Mizzet's Spells

Instants and sorceries is fuel of this deck. As well as those being cast by your opponents. Casting these spells will trigger Niv's ability to let you draw and does one damage to any target.

Your draw spells such as Opt , Frantic Search or Preordain are redundant to Niv's ability. You cast them and Niv lets you draw a card then the effect as well of the spell will let you draw card/s. Cantrips utilizes more of Niv'z ability for you to dig through your library for your win cons and threats on the board.

Niv-Mizzet, Parun is uncounterable but this doesn't mean that he is invincible. As he hits the battlefield it will cause a stir and he mightl be sent to the command zone immediately. This is where your countermagic will be in good use. Use your counter magic such as Counterspell , Red Elemental Blast or Swan Song to protect Niv from your opponents killing spell and especially when your are about to win the game on the your next turn. Free counterspells like Force of Will , Mental Misstep and Pact of Negation if not are the most effective spells protecting your strategy due to Niv's high cmc.

Since you will drawing alot of cards. Only few tutors are included on this deck. Mystical Tutor lets you fetch any instant or sorcery, utilize this card depending on the boardstate. Fetch a counterspell if you are or an opponent is aabout to win or a board wipe to the battlefield.

Muddle the Mixture is a transmute card that can get you any card with a cmc of 2. You can get counterspells, cantrip spells like Impulse and Izzet Charm , removals like Cyclonic Rift even mana rocks. Most especially you can transmute this card for your combo cards, the Isochron Scepter and/or Dramatic Reversal .

Dizzy Spell is also a transmute card and can fetch you any relevant one cmc card but this spell is mainly here for you to get Curiosity , one of Dragon's combo piece.
