This is my first attempt at a commander deck, I've never played commander before but thought the format sounded extremely fun. I purchased the pre-constructed "Seize Control" commander deck from my LGS and proceeded to gut it and upgrade some things with my own collection. An advice for further editing is always appreciated.

So I took this to my LGS for their casual Thursday night commander event and I don't think it did terribly, buthe it didn't perform particularly well either.

Game 1 a guy in our pod was playing a B/G deck with a ton of tutor effects and hand disruption, shockingly he was able to empty my hand as quickly as I was drawing cards and he used an infinite combo win before anyone else on the board managed to get off the ground really.

Game 2 someone was playing especially control with a commander that was gaining him life from the command zone every turn (sorry I'm not very farmiliar with a lot of the cards in this format so I can't remember it's name) and his entire deck was basically counterspells and board wipes, again an infinite combo for the win on his part.

Game 3 was a lot more interesting and actually we used the full hour without anyone being knocked out, though a few were close. I was actually able to get Jace and Niv-mizzet out at the same time this game but was forced to discard pretty much all of my other wincons, those "discard your hand" effects hurt a lot when you're holding 20+ cards.

All together I had fun playing the deck and I felt like it did what I intended, which was to draw a ton of cards and cycle through the deck, however I feel that by playing Niv-mizzet, or blue at all for that matter I made myself a target. I'm thinking that I need to maybe reduce some of the redundancy in the deck and add some counterspells and just some more interactivity with other players over all.
