Boros is a strong militarized guild built to be honorable and protect the weak. This is just one platoon of the mighty Fire Fist Battalion.
Lightning Bolt 1 drop removal/burn. Modern staple for a reason. Can kill smaller creatures or be the last few points you need to finish your opponent.
Lightning Helix 2 drop removal/burn with life gain tacked on. Solid card overall and functions much like Bolt in the deck.
Boros Charm 2 mana toolkit for multiple situations. Dodge that board wipe, double strike a fatty (admittedly rare in this deck) or direct 4 damage to the face. One of the best "charms" out there and was a staple in standard and even sees considerate play in modern.
Boros Elite 1 drop beater. Should always be played turn 1. Turns into a 3/3 with friends which is great for tempo.
Legion Loyalist 1 drop powerhouse. Hasty and gives trample and first strike to all with Battalion. Nice play when you want to swing in.
Firefist Striker 2 drop block disabler. Not flashy but still solid turn two play.
Daring Skyjek 2 drop flier. 3/1 is solid and with friends he is also evasive. The best play on turn two when you want to Battalion.
Viashino Firstblade 3 drop Battalion bomb. 4/4 when he lands and enables big turn three swings.
Skyknight Legionnaire 3 drop hasty flier. Solid choice when a Viashino isn't around and for later when you want to maintain pace.
Firemane Avenger 4 drop 3/3 Angel. That alone is solid and what's better is it shoots Lightning Helix's!
Aurelia Warleader! The bomb that keeps on giving. Doubles the Battalion triggers and does it upon entry (haste). She doesn't have the biggest body for her mana cost but she will often be seen as a threat regardless thanks to her effect.
That's the deck! I've been tuning this thing since it's inception as a standard deck. I love the flavor and simplicity of it, and often it's more than expected for my opponents.
