The Goal

Make the unholy pay with the wrath of your angelic army.

I really wanted to put something together for my wife that I could build for under $30, with a good theme, that she would enjoy playing. She does enjoy MtG, but does not play nearly as much as I do so I went for something she can be competitive with against something I'm playing in the same price range.

The Backstory

When I first got my wife into playing magic she was instantly drawn to any white deck. Selesnya , Azorius , Orshov , but specifically Boros decks. She had about 8 precons 4 of which were all Boros. Once I started building my own decks again she wasn't able to really keep up so when I asked her what kind of deck she'd like me to build for her I was not surprised at all when she requested a red/white deck. I've never put together an angel deck, but I'm hoping this will be something she really enjoys.

The Deck

Bring forth your opponents' Day of Judgment while saving your own Legion of angels, purify their souls using Boros Reckoner and Shivan Meteor. Really bring on the holy retribution by granting the Reckoner Indestructibility or give it a little extra charm.

The Notes

I like Anger of the Gods better than Pyroclasm in terms of flavor and theme, but it's just too expensive for the deck and Pyroclasm does pretty close to the same thing, but 1 less damage and doesn't exhile creatures.

You should be able to get his deck under $30 when you are actually picking the cards out on CK or TCG.
