Fight (fire) With Fire

Standard*

Nejos

Sideboard

This deck is a casual mixture made to play in a local friends league, made with proxyes.Although beeing a Standard deck, this actually plays aggainst modern decks, with the extra rule that no cards can cost above 10$ according to .

The deck is based on the new Dominaria block card, Fight with Fire, as a main win condition by direct damage.

This deck has influences from the current meta of the league, with decks with tendencies to tokens and hexproff, hence the increased number of sweep cards included, that by no means are essential for the deck running.
Without further addo, into the decks mechanics and idea. This deck aims for a OTK with a kicked Fight with Fire, thats been copyed by Primal Wellspring or doubledamage buffed by Insult. May not be outright effitient, but cool as hell when things happen accordingly. In order to make that possible, time is needed and that's exactly the role of control, while ramping fasten up the process.

Stalling

All removal comes in with the effects of buying time for the combo to come in. Gleaming Barrier blocks small ground creatures, whilest generating treasure to help ramp up needed spells and it survives Sweltering Suns.

While beeing the win con of the deck, Fight with Fire itself helps keeping your lifetotal until the big fireworks show up.

Primal Amulet   is another piece of the puzzle, that easen up mana cost until fliped for straightout value. Insult has good sinnergy in this case, putting up 2 counters while beein 2 mana cheaper overall, helping to control and possibly (but kinda unrealisticly) doubling damage for the combo.

Other removal need no especial explanation.

Ramping

Jaya Ballard, Treasure Map   and Pirate's Pillage all serve as a means to ramp spells, while making it easier to cicle through the deck, with the first also helping as a second win con.

Others

Cards like Abrade or Scavenger Grounds came in for the versatility edge the deck sometimes require. In this especial case, Mirage Mirror was included with intent to bring this versatility up a bit.

This part needs a lot of work, but tools to confront a bit better control were added.

The deck currently needs testing, as the previous version went on only 5 matches until now.

If you have any ideas as to improve the deck overall, please comment bellow.
