In the anticipation of the new Commander sets, I really had my eye on Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas. The double strike and vigilance give her the chance to play with the boy's club.

The color scheme doesn't include black, or she'd be another reprint of Kaalia of the Vast. But it does give access to Angels, Dragons, some Devils and almost, if not all, of the Giants printed in the game.

I'll be making two decks that utilize her abilities and colors:

One: a tribal Giant deck that will heavily focus on Sunrise Sovereign's ability to bolster members of his tribe. I decided to put Brion Stoutarm in as an alternative commander just for variance. I also decided to include some bolsters, Adaptive Automaton and Obelisk of Urd in here in addition to Urza's Incubator, Cloud Key, and Stinkdrinker Daredevil to lower the CMC of the giants.

Two: A modified version of Kaalia of the Vast.

Running this deck within my friend group, I've noted one consistent problem: not enough ramp and not enough protection because of the high cmc that most of the creatures in her deck. When I bought it, I had already thought of breaking it, because I knew Kaalia needed someone to run her money for summoning an army of powerful creatures.
