A legendary themed esper beat down deck. On the surface it seems pretty all over the place in terms of deck synergy and focus, but it's the product of quite a bit of play testing. I wouldn't say it's the most competitive list but it can definitely hold its own against other tuned decks. Playing around with a bunch of legendary creatures has lead to an interesting creature-type matters sub-theme that I manipulate with Arcane Adaptation (can be found with Zur the Enchanter). Below are the ways I abuse this:

• Dragons matter - Crux of Fate, Ojutai, Soul of Winter, Silumgar, the Drifting Death and Sylvia Brightspear. These are typically the most important due to the number of dragons in the deck and the impact each can have on the game.

• Zombies matter - The Scarab God, Varina, Lich Queen and Gisa and Geralf. These really let you start filtering through your deck to set up all kinds of graveyard yard antics.

• Sphinxes matter - Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign. It's a decent card on its own with your commander's blink ability and due to the suprising number of sphinxes in the deck this card has been very effective. Like Varina, Unesh can filter thorough your deck and help set up a monster Primevals' Glorious Rebirth/Entreat the Dead.

• Angels/Humans matter - Bruna, the Fading Light brings back any of your great humans or angels and melds with Gisela, the Broken Blade. Lyra Dawnbringer is a solid beater on her own but also acts as an anthem/mass lifegain source with Arcane Adaptation.

• Wizards matter - Azami, Lady of Scrolls. Adds some consistent draw that can generate insane card advantage once you start finding other wizards or an arcane adaptation.

• Ninjas matter - Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. Being the only ninja in the deck this is more of just a fun include that usually takes your opponents by surprise and can lead to some funny combat shenanigans (especially with aminatou's plus ability, Lim-Dul's Vault or Vampiric Tutor). Being a large creature deck means that Yuriko has a good chance of hitting for a decent chunk of life and a timely precombat Arcane Adaptation can end the game.

• Demons matter - Liliana's Contract. Most games it is a reusable draw 4 with aminatou's minus ability but it occasionally can act as an alt win con with Arcane Adaptation for those games you aren't gonna be able to win through attacking normally (especially since commander damage is not an option).
