Your mind is the offering. Lay it upon the altar and hope that your wishes go unanswered. For Phenax, the King of Lies, may see fit to twist your words and in so doing, your sanity.

This deck is meant to evoke the feelings of duplicity and distrust that spreads from the Phenax's Temple. You will enlist the God of Deception in your struggle, but be aware that his presence will make you a most hated target.

We want to keep devotion LOW, so that Phenax remains as invulnerable as possible. The game plan is to sit back and play the defensive game, only milling during opponents' end steps so that we can keep our blockers awake and ready. This deck will generate lots of hate because people hate combos, and people hate mill, and people hate control. This deck does all of that. It is mandatory that defenses go online as fast as possible.

This the alternate commander version of my Lazav, Dimir Mastermind deck, Welcome to the Undercity. It uses the same mill shell, but makes substitutions for more synergies with Phenax. These cards taken out of Lazav are found in the Maybeboard (Because this keeps them out of the price). This deck is mostly for my personal reference.
