Trying to build Alela as Faerie aggro. Esper colors () offer some interesting cards.

My plan is simple - to produce as many Faeries as possible, give them some boost and attack.

I considered building this deck with some staxes, but the staxes build requires a lot of enchantments and so far I prefer artifacts, because the plays with eggs may be very explosive.

This deck tries to be "fair" (no infinity combos). This may change depending on my playgroup.

Every advice how to make deck faster, more resilient, more anything is welcomed! :-)

Why Alela?

• Everybody loves Faeries ...
• I wanted to build fast aggro deck with some new general
• I call her "small Atraxa" (4 mana CMC, flying, lifelink, death touch) but she's not Atraxa at all ..

Card choices

• Celestial Colonnade - for the time when there is no Faerie, but we need to block or attack
• Creeping Tar Pit - great anti-Planeswalker creature
• Crashing Drawbridge - haste for all my Faeries is warmly welcomed!
• Hope of Ghirapur - great against control and combo decks
• Cursed Totem - slows so many decks .. may be problem for Crashing Drawbridge or Spellskite, but when the Cursed Totem is on battlefield, I usually do not need to use activated ability of these two creatures
• Yawgmoth's Will - replay all the artifacts from the graveyard
• Opposition - great control (with so many faeries) - this card has already won some games

Notable Exclusions

• Land Tax - not enough basic lands to make it work
• Leyline of Anticipation - it's not an artifact and it has high CMC
• Necropotence - great card (it usually wins the game), but we play 2HG quite often and this shuts off my team-mate
• Ghostly Prison/Propaganda - this is aggro deck (or should be), no need for pillowfort
• Grand Architect - not needed (low CMC artifacts only)

Winning Conditions

• attack with Alela, Artful Provocateur and then Hatred (if unblocked) for 19 lives => 21 general damage and one player is down (you'll get the lives back because of lifelink) - may be used with Shizo, Death's Storehouse for evasion
• generate a swarm of Faeries and attack
• Alela, Artful Provocateur + All That Glitters (with a lot of artifacts + enchantments) or equip Stoneforge Masterwork (with a lot of Faeries) and attack

Upcoming changes

• I want to add Land Tax, so I will have to change some lands to basics. Plus Scroll Rack to make more profit from Land Tax.
