This build is focused around a aristocrat strategy and farming points at my local commander league. The most relevant being +1 point for being the first player to deal damage with a creature and +1 for getting a commander kill.

Getting a commander kill with Korvold is really easy, given his abilities. He needs a little protection though so I've put in the usual Jund/EDH anti-removal package. However, Sylvan Safekeeper is a HUGE MVP when protecting Korvold given that it's shroud ability triggers Korvold's ability. If WotC ever print out another card similar to the Safekeeper's ability, consider it an auto-include.

As for getting First Blood points, there's not much more you can do than play a bunch of 1 drop creatures (preferably hasty ones) and hope no one else can get a creature to swing before you can. Lightning Serpent , Uktabi Drake , Spark Elemental , and Gingerbrute all provide the added benefit of being able (or forced) to sacrifice themselves at the end of turn. This, of course, triggers Korvold's ability so even if you draw them later in the game, they aren't exactly dead draws.

The Aristocrat plan is pretty box standard. I try to avoid making myself a bigger target/ threat by not including aristocrat cards that hit each opponent. Usually this leaves a lot more options for me as far as politics and gameplay go. You can add in cards like Impact Tremors and Purphoros, God of the Forge , but I feel like they aren't very helpful in the long run. They tend to draw the table's attention and not in a good way.

My favorite part about Korvold is that he rewards the deck for doing what it already does naturally. The key thing to remember is that he triggers on ALL of your sacrifice costs. This includes Search Lands, Food Tokens, Treasure Tokens, Altars, Devour mechanics, and so much more! All of these are things Jund aristocrats already do and do well! This also can punish other players for daring to force you to sack permanents to boards wipes and annihilator effects.

Being the person that I am, I couldn't help but include a couple of alternative win conditions and combos: 1) The first is Revel in Riches ; kind of a no brainer but when your playing with Treasure Tokens and in the right colors... 2) Second is a combo with Animation Module , Korvold, and either Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar . Sacking something to an Altar generates mana and triggers Korvold. Putting a counter on Korvold triggers the module and can be paid for with the Altar mana. Sack the Servo to the Altar and start the process all over again. If you have an aristocrat out, you win with ping damage, otherwise you commander kill people one at a time. To make sure I can't deck myself with this combo or get milled out, I've included Kozilek, Butcher of Truth . 3) Third plays out much like the second win condition but uses Words of Wilding instead. The downside is that you don't draw your deck with this combo.
