I don't know how much of a difference it makes, but would switching Reclamation Sage with Viridian Corrupter be worth it? I know Sage lets you choose artifact or enchantment, but corrupter has 1 extra toughness and infect. Have you found that that extra adaptability makes Sage more useful than the damage possibility of Corrupter?

RhythmBeast I honestly prefer Rec Sage for the enchantment option although Viridian Corrupter was in the deck for awhile. But every time I could kill someone with infect they either exiled Corrupter or I had enough mana to do lethal using Ezuri's overrun.

do you think any of the Ravnica Allegiance cards will make their way into the deck like Wilderness Reclamation and Guardian Project?

mattat01 I'm play testing Guardian Project this upcoming week, because the deck's one major flaw is card draw. It seems a little to high mana cost but I'm going to see how it runs.

Hey dude, I've also piloted edh elves for the past several years. My playgroup is heavy on the boardwipes so some games can be tough. Have you had experience with this?

It would be awesome if you took a look at my list and send your thoughts. A lot of similarities between ours.

Canuck25 Hey I checked out your list! I definitely need to make some hard cuts to my list cause I want to add Natural Order and Finale of Devastation and I'm thinking about finally adding in Eladrami. Any suggestions on my list? My only thoughts on yours was I'm not a fan of Survival of the fittest just because I'm scared of my cards going to the graveyard since recursion is so hard with elves. I do run Fauna shaman but thats just because I feel like I can protect her easier than a survival of the fittest. And the same logic goes for skullclamp. If you're anything like me, card draw is the biggest flaw in the deck so I can see why you would run it, but I'd rather try and keep my elves on the field. I definitely think that Leyline of Abundance should be added, that card is just amazing. That new Elvish Re-claimer should definitely go in. And Return to Earth should just replaced with Krosan Grip or Natures Claim. Also if you have the time to talk I would love to hear about your deck and how cards like cloudstone curio and instill energy have worked out!

PatsyJD Thanks for your time. I really do appreciate it. Natural Order has been a game changer for me since day one, and my last round I tested Finale of Devastation and was not disappointed! Eladamri is great you just have to play smart so you don't screw yourself over with the shroud lol.

I actually have a hard time with Survival and Fauna Shaman because I find myself not wanting to pitch cards, but rather play cards on to the battlefield. However, they provide another way to grab the main elves which makes the decision difficult. I do have similar reservations with you and Skullclamp. Card draw is my biggest downfall. Especially once I get wiped and have to start over.

You really think that Leyline of Abundance is that good? Reclaimer will be going in for sure. Cloudstone Curio is an all-star. Reuse great ETB effects like Visionary and Reclamation Sage. Once you get Aluren out that is typically game. Draw your deck and win. Instill Energy I have recently taken out. It wasn't performing how I originally thought it would. Often felt too narrow.

Have you considered running Regrowth or Wildest Dreams ? You talked about how recursion can be hard for you and these cards both do great work. Wildest Dreams is probably better for you since you can recur many cards. Anyways great deck, +1 from me!

July 18, 2019 11:46 a.m.

Cuickbrownfox1 I have considered both, if anything I might do regrowth. The big problem with recursion in this deck is mass recursion. We usually need cards back to our hand after a major board wipe that we couldn't protect ourselves from. The plan after a major board wipe is to use our lands and cards like finale of devastation to get back dorks who could produce a lot of mana to cast cards like Praetor's Counsel.

cool deck.. you should drop a forest for Homeward Path .. if someone steals your ezuri in this current build you have no way of getting it back.

I would also cut a few of the dead elves like Essence Warden and Wellwisher for some protection. you seriously will get blown out if you play against blue or red and so you need cards like Veil of Summer and Heroic Intervention .. these will help push your spells through and the intervention will protect you from a board wipe (and also protect your lands)

I would drop cryptolith rite for Lignify because you have basically no removal. If someone drops a Linvala, Keeper of Silence youre basically toast

shadowmage Veil of Summer will probably find a spot in here somewhere. Also I plan on switching Wellwisher for Heroic Intervention once I get a foiled one.

With so many infinite mana optio s did you consider walking ballista for the deck? If you did why did it not make the cut as an altnate wincon?

August 10, 2019 2:44 p.m.

lengardol Walking Ballista could work absolutely, but if we draw into it early game it's a dead card, and it doesn't have great synergy with the rest of the creatures. Plus by time I have infinite mana we usually just cast Ezuri and pump to win.

Another solid include would be Deserted Temple for untap shennanigans with Cradle and Nykthos.

August 18, 2019 8:38 a.m.

TheCorelton I'm definitely going to play test it, I'm usually great on mana but obviously this doesn't hurt to add. I'm just worried about drawing that instead of a forest when it counts the most.

Have you thought of Guardian Project as another form of card draw?

August 29, 2019 9:24 a.m.

JLCENTRAL I've play tested it before, it was just too slow.

Would Maze of Ith be a card worth running? combos with argothian elder inside of combat for infinite mana!

September 1, 2019 4:27 p.m.

I've also tested this and although I liked it I also had a bunch of times where it was just a dead card in my hand that I couldn't produce mana with. MandrewM

Have you ever thought of running Karametra's Acolyte ? It goes infinite with the Staff, Mantle and Sword.

September 3, 2019 9:09 p.m.

dum321 I've definitely thought of it, but I'm trying to keep it to a mostly elf tribal deck. I'm thinking of adding Devoted Druid to go infinite with Ezuri, Renegade Leader & Leyline of Abundance instead. Plus it is a cheaper cost and can produce a guaranteed two mana when it comes out.

CommanderPatsy can you explain the combo between Devoted Druid & Ezuri, Renegade Leader & Leyline of Abundance because i think i'm missing something...
