The Right Eye of Wisdom and The Left Eye of Chaos

Commander / EDH*

Creature (1)

The deck is Coin-flip tribal at its finest. In some ways, this deck embodies what the Izzet colors (in general) are about: Your actions are determined by flips of coins, and it ends up creating a kind of chaos that taps into creativity, which is central to the color combination. This is by no means a competitive deck. You will not win every game with this deck.

Just have fun. Have a blast. If you do win, whatever you did, it's going to be memorable, and people are going to talk about it. How we win are stories to remember. Ok, there's that blatantly obvious Chance Encounter + Frenetic Efreet combo in there, but we draw into that by chance. That's like a last resort, if anything.

What other ways do we win?

-If you win enough flips with Okaun, Eye of Chaos, you can cast Chandra's Ignition to eliminate everyone at once. (Shooting for Blackjack is also an option with Okaun, just back him up)

-With enough coin flips won, if you have Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom, and Laboratory Maniac in play, you win on the next flip you win.

Those three ways are our primary goals, and Frenetic Efreet will get us there (so, for the sake of fun, we're not going out of our way to tutor him up-Thank goodness we aren't in ). If you find another way to win with the deck, great. Feel free to mention it, and I'll add it in here.

Feel free to make any comments and suggestions, and ask what questions you have. The Era of Coin Flips has come at last.

Updates Add

After seeing it in a few games, I can say that Frenetic Efreet takes a lot of fun out of the deck. Here's why:

It's the ultimate enabler of the wincons. You draw your deck with Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom. You get infinite counters with Chance Encounter. And Okaun, Eye of Chaos literally becomes Infinity/Infinity (Or some massive number that would gobble up every post known to humanity).

Someone's comment about Frenetic Sliver came to mind and, while it's a worse card, it tones down the problem considerably. I would say to reserve the Efreet for more cutthroat tables, but more power to you if you wish to run it regardless.

EDIT: Also, here's a question for everyone: Would you prefer coins or dice for decks like this? My last group insisted on using dice, but I wonder if using a coin is the right call.
